UofAGrad posted he likes that our 6 servers serve really tough. Which of the 6 do you think has the toughest serve and why? In terms of best serve not factoring in percent effective. IMO Skinner Akana Oneal Swindle Halter Barnes In terms of actual effectiveness over the season that might be different but if I could get their best serve in a critical point of the game this would be my list. |

Did they change the caption on this? It says "Mind your business" now. I think that was the caption the whole time but I saw it 45 mins after it was posted Oh the Facebook post has the "You have to respect the slide queen" one so maybe that's what I saw. |

IDK about Europe generally but in most international play I've seen, yes. It's all Hawkeye on the lines, same as tennis tournaments and it's so fast. The replay is up in about 10 secs. The net cams have so many frames per second that sometimes players admit touches as soon as the other team challenges, because they aren't going to get away with anything, they might as well keep going The next time I get a chance to ask JE a question, which might be the European tour(!), I'm going to bring up the fact that years ago.....maybe 5+ as he was fighting for replay to be tested out, "We hope to get these very high speed cameras installed, but it might be a cost issue to some of the schools."
And as we know, we look at these slow motion replays that have the blurry ball maybe(?) and maybe not(?) touching the tips of players' hands.
Maybe the SEC is going to high speed cameras? Maybe that's what's happening?
I remember K-State having some amazing cameras which made it easy to see touch/no touch on the replay. I know it's because of $$$ but it'd be nice to see those in more venues. |

Mine is Skinner Akana Halter O’Neal Swindle Barnes I feel like O’Neal’s serve this year is less aggressive compared to last year. Maybe because of her USNT involvement this year. Halter’s serve to me is aggressively safe and allows our blockers to defend effectively. |

I believe Halter has one of the most effective float serves statistically — across the nation. |

Everybody better be taking naps today - team, coaches, band, fans. Everybody I like that Pitt-Nebraska is first. If Texas wins I’m so keyed up I can’t pay attention to the second match. If Texas loses I’m so despondent I can’t be bothered. This way I can watch the first match being hopeful that Texas is facing the winner in the finals. Ideal scenario for my volleyball watching pleasure. |

While we are waiting for tonight, I went through some of the tournament box scores. It really stands out how good the pre-game scout and prep are, because so far the team has been extremely good in shutting down key players on opponent teams:

We are both top blocking teams in the country but Wisconsin also is top 5 in opp hitting percentage, we're in the top 25 I think. This is going to be display of A LOT of GRIT tonight on both sides.
