Mick Haley and Daniel Gillman's commentary on Texas v. Stanford starting around 10:20. Some lovely compliments for Swindle, Asjia, Baby Spice, Skinner he thinks madi won't go off vs. wisconsin like she did at stanford.
we shall see MICK

Career Records:Asjia sits at #1 in Texas career block assists and total blocks, above Chiaka in both. how does asjia compare to chiaka when throwing out the covid season? lower on the list, at #4 and #6 respectively

If we get to 1000 pages before the start of game tonight, the Volleyball Gods will make sure that everything works for us to win!

I feel like we didn't talk much in this thread about Asjia being the #1 overall pick in the inaugural PVF draft...
lowkey I was hoping she'd go overseas but she's also making history this way

Being the first #1 pick for the newest league is insane. She will most likely be one of the best middles in that league if she decides to stay because she's the only one that played with the senior national team this past summer along. Tapp and Dixon also has past experience but she's the best new kid on the block.

I may do that but its hard to chill when I can still hear the incessant shrieking, hooting, and hollering from the Horn girls W over Stanford still. I encourage you to watch and compare Texas compared to the other teams in regards to their Final Four clinching celebration thresholds. It is excessive but that's what you get when you're told EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas every day.
literally everyone on this site didn't think they were going to win (much like everyone on this site is doing now with tomorrow's match lol). they were the underdog, playing on the road, having played the hardest path. to come on this site and rave about something so incredibly subjective...seriously. this team is not like last year's team, there was no guarantee they would even make it to the elite 8 match, much less the final four. i've watched this team for the better part of 20 years and this year's "celebration" that you refer to looks no different than previous years so i'm not sure what the issue is. Must be hell being a constant squawker

I feel like we didn't talk much in this thread about Asjia being the #1 overall pick in the inaugural PVF draft... lowkey I was hoping she'd go overseas but she's also making history this way I think her going 1st is huge for the league too. As much as the constant Jermaine mentions can be tiring, the tie-ins with her draft announcement have gotten notice from people who don't watch volleyball and didn't know there was a league. I don't know how many other players in the draft could generate that kind of buzz from outside the volleyball world.
Also, it's just been great to watch Asjia grow as a player in her time at Texas. Each year, she's gotten better and better. Even this year, you can see how she's taken on a leadership role that I think will help her professionally. Now we need her to close out her great college career with another Natty! đ¤

You keep saying that, and I keep looking at the NCAA website, and it keeps clearly listing her at #4, with 200 career aces. Petrinka even lost her standing as #1. What am I missing? IDK. Either the NCAA website is wrong or the commentator was. Wouldn't be the first time for either. Well, itâs an active stat. She was real close for a bit, but now sheâs 12 aces behind #3. It would take a couple of Akana super outings to catch up. Which Iâm all for, mind you. As youâve seen, my big tack right now is simply to emphasize all those âactive playersâ are no longer active, so now sheâs #1!!!
