My wish list as a diehard Michigan fan: Kelli Miller Phillips Brittany Dildine Erin Virtue Would have to think KMP is the most attainable, given UM's current commitment to VB (primarily salary & facilities). Even at the previous poor salary it'd still be 2x what she makes at BSU. Not that money is everything, but it definitely talks. I wish this coaching search would get the same publicity that a major program would get. If the likes of Dildine and Reyes and Nelson are coming to AA to interview it means they at least believe somewhat in what Michigan Volleyball could be. It's very easy to get negative on where the program stands in the B1G and within the ranks of UM itself. My short list is similar: Erin Virtue Kelli Miller Phillips Rob Beam I don't think we are going to get a big name assistant unless the program really ramps up the salary and facility offerings.

Rob isn’t coaching anymore. KMP is a life-long Indiana resident. I like the thought of Meske, Dildine, or Anders Nelson. All three have lots of experience.

Plus, Michigan is right there (3+ hours from Muncie to AA). If she wants to remain close to family/friends, it's not like she'd be moving to Panama.

Kelli Miller-Phillips is my guess. I have been beating this drum for a while. With Purdue's staff looking to not be going anywhere this would be her best bet to elevate to the Big 10. Great recruiting roots in the area and coming off at at-large bid in the MAC. She has done all she can do at Ball State.

Michigan has the budget and the brand to lure away a big time coach and upgrade their arena, but they won't. They'll hire a regional mid-major coach or grab a hot assistant. Kelli Miller Phillips Jaylen Reyes Brittany Dildine Anders Nelson Dan Meske? (He's an Ohio State grad so that would be extra spicy) Nelson and Dildine are both already in the mix for at least one other open job at the moment. So that would make sense. I would think Dildine would be encouraging Matt Ulmer to apply, so that she can apply at Oregon...she could be much nearer the wife.

Leanne Williamson?? She's been at USD for a bit...maybe she's ready to make a move. I've seen Miller Phillips thrown around a lot in head coach seach threads this year, but Williamson has more sustained success as a mid-major HC. They've won the Summit League regular season or tournament crown every year in the last 5, including claiming both this year, with a roster of mostly Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, and Nebraska kids. She's also a Wisconsin native, so the Great Lakes region is the only area she's called home outside of South Dakota. If they want a mid-major HC, this might be the pick! I'm not ruling out the possibility of a talented P5 Associate Head/Assistant Coach. That might be the best move, depending on who's available (although I don't think Meske is leaving Loui). I just think a strong hire needs made, and soon, if the Blue wants a shot to win the portal and establish themselves among the second tier of the B1G next year, which may very well be obtainable since MN has to replace Booth/McGraw/Wenaas, OSU graduated four starters, PSU has to replace Clark/Elisaia/Williams, and Purdue is going to be young. Additionally, for the company Michigan had in the third tier this year, IL was plagued with injurise so it's hard to say what next year looks like in Champaign, IN is well... IN, NW lost 10 off their roster including 2nd Team AA Thomas-Ailara, and MD lost Jones and Gomillion. I will continue to say there is so much potential with this hire. I hope the AD doesn't miss.

EDIT; We need to have another woman head coach in the conference.

I believe this would be the perfect opportunity for Kelli Miller Philips if she wanted to move up. From the Shondell/Muncie tree (likes of Skinner, Sheffield), played in the B1G and beat Michigan in the NCAaA tournament last season. There's already been a fair bit of discussion about her in this thread.

I don’t anticipate Virtue leaving her current role. Then my guess is Miller Phillips or one of the aforementioned P5 ACs.

I even used Google and I’m still having a hard time figuring out who Megan Pendergast is. My bet is that Michigan cares just enough to go through the usual Roundtable (Miller-Phillips, Meske, Tomic, Dildine, etc) and pick one.
