Hasn’t she turned down multiple offers/even Udub offer when Jmac left in the past? When McLaughlin left, Gabriel had a couple of very young kids. I can imagine her not wanting to step up her commitment to her job just then, but being much more able to do it eight years later.

Mansfield is already gone, I believe. Unfortunate, Hope he finds a good place to land. With all of the open positions, it makes sense for him to be exploring. He deserves a good spot to show what he can do as a HC. But LG earned and deserves this spot. I agree. Being second fiddle at Minnesota seems like a risky proposition.

I believe she had just had the youngest baby during J-Mac’s last season and also had a 3.5 and 1.5 year old.

To round out the staff, I’d like to see a strong associate that has experience - is Moreno on tap to take over at ASU? If not, perhaps him. Assistant coach - get Vansant to come home, Thompson or Miyashiro.

Assistant coach - get Vansant to come home, Thompson or Miyashiro. Why would you want Vansant? She doesn't seem to have done anything as a coach. Vansant's coaching record: 2018 @ Indiana 16-15 2019 @ Indiana 14-19 2020 @ Indiana 5-15 2021 @ Indiana 10-22 ( and Indiana's record for 2022 was 16-16) 2022 @ Illinois 15-15 ( and Illinois' record for 2021 was 22-12) There are for sure more factors, but her team doesn't seem to perform well at all. Tama yes pls. I also think we need a really strong recruiting coach.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but hasn't Leslie typically been very involved with the middles? I've always thought Washington develops that position really well.

Congratulations to her and the Dawgs! She's certainly very dedicated to the program and will be a great HC
