I don't know whether to laugh or cry or just smite someone, but I've never known anyone to get injured from jogging. This is beyond my understanding of how the universe works. Exhibit A:Born on April 23, 1932, Jim Fixx is widely credited with popularizing the sport of running in the United States. His 1977 The Complete Book of Running, was a bestseller which started the fitness boom; especially among what would become the affluent businessmen of the early 1980s who took to the streets in droves. Jogging and fitness in the rising "yuppie" population became both about health and about establishing a perception of vigor and power. Jim Fixx died on July 20, 1984 at age 52; he had a heart attack while on his daily run.

Actually, I read that book and hooked me into running. The book mentioned his death (I must've read the updated one in the 1980s) and said his cardio-vascular system was in great shape but his ticker was not. Something about thick veins and arteries and stuff. I can't remember exactly the words it used but the book said running itself was not the cause of Fixx's death. (Of course, what are they going to say? It's a running book!) Hey, if you're born with a bad ticker, no amount of running will help.
And I wrote, "I've never known anyone to get injured from jogging."
There are several key elements here: "known," "injured," and "jogging."
I did not know Jim Fixx. Of the people I've known, none have been injured from jogging. Fixx died. Death is not an injury, unless docs have a different definition of injury. And finally, jogging can be distinguished from running. When I'm jogging, it's usually casual and not very intense. When I'm running, I'm trying to break a personal record and the heart rate is much much higher.

CSTV is running a taped delay of both games on Sunday. I think they are a couple hours later than the normal game. Go to their website and it tells when it is on. Hope this helps!
