Now that Hannah Vanden Berg is going to UW Green Bay, you should put them in there too. Just kidding, just a little giddy since that's the first time I've seen that much Badger state in a top ten mention.

Oregon IIRC, Stanford isn't losing any starters, so they should be the pre-season favorite

Marquette was placed a little high, but they're definitely higher than WSU!

Neither of Nebraska´s middles were actual All Americans in the 2017 season. That said, Holman had been a first teamer years prior and Stivrins was a first teamer the very next season. The real answer is probably UCLA 2011.

My top 8 (which almost mirrors Longhorn20)
Likely preseason favorites: 1. Stanford-return everyone from RF finish, Kipp should be heavy POY favorite entering next season. A healthy Francis and more competition on the pins will make Stanford deep and dangerous.
2. Wisconsin-return everyone, swap out Hart for Booth and add depth to the backrow. They lack elite firepower on the left and setting still isn't elite but they are so strong blocking and have solid pieces.
Great on paper but lose a lot: 3. Nebraska-they look very strong on paper and have a lot of depth, they'll be markedly different going into next year. They lose more than half of their starting players with only Rodriguez, Allick, Batenhorst and Krause returning. No idea what the lineup will be but a lot of exciting new names on the roster and a big time transfer in Beason. I think the setting spot dictates how well Nebraska does (or doesn't do) next season, and I think they also need someone to emerge as their strong OOS hitter that can terminate.
4. Texas-another deep and talented squad that has to replace a lot of talent. Gone are three players who played 6 rotations, but they bring in a very promising freshman setter, a solid OH in Wenaas, and their defense/passing should be strong again this year with Halter back and Barnes stepping in. They wont be the favorite, but they'll definitely be in the title hunt with Skinner likely leading the charge.
Good but not elite on paper, make up for it in coaching 5. Louisville-They lose several top players but have a great core coming back in DeBeer/Jones/Scott, plus Luper is a huge offseason addition and will help ease the loss of Chaussee. I think their key to success will be the setting. If Glock can run the show at a similar level to Dilfer/Lazaro (which is a major ask), they'll be back in the title mix.
6. Pitt-They lose talent but reload with some stellar athletes in their freshman class. If they look anywhere near as good as they did in the UA game, Pitt is going to be very dangerous.
Outside shot but has serious firepower 7. Oregon-Colyer is elite, Pukis is elite, and McGhee is a beast in the middle. They have some quality depth and I think can get back to being a Final Four threat.
8. Minnesota-I think their season hinges on Wucherer's ability to make the sophomore jump and emerge as a big time hitter to compliment Landfair. Shaff has her shortcomings but by and large has turned into a very solid setter. Losing Booth/Wenaas/Choboy hurts but I think Cook will do a good job here.

1. Stanford (returns everybody & adds) Also HELLO Kendall Kipp >> best opposite in the country, no debate.
2. Wisconsin (replaces hart with former big 10 foe 6”7 ✨Carter booth ✨& potentially adds to back row)
3.Texas ( loses / adds a lot talent, lots of unproviness; season will depend on freshman setter ✨Ella Swindle✨ Also so excited to see potential ( best passing libero) showdown between 🕯Briseno & Halter in the Big 12. 🕯
4.Nebraska (loses / adds talent, setting is questionable; but a lot to be happy about with the leaping ✨Harper Murray✨ coming in) Also will it be Reilly VS Orr or Reilly & Orr 👯♀️ Or will TRAP setting queen podraza come in to steal eligibility from both heheheheee 😈
5.pittburgh (loses some, but gains more; if the youth is passing good then watch out, also two words TORREY STAFFFORD) Also how can I forget setting queen ✨Racheal Fairbanks✨ ( hopefully she runs a 5-1 this year & becomes ACC SETTER OF THE YEAR) 🕯
6.Louisville (loses a bit, but a strong all-American duo returns with THE ✨ELENA SCOTT✨(the best all- around returning libero in the country in my opinion) & breakout season Anna debeer. Questions are will lupers height be too much of a disadvantage & can she stay healthy? Can glock run a 5-1 with continuous final four hopes? )
7.Oregon looses Brooke, but Mimi coyler will be back & WAY MORE experienced; along with outstanding setter ✨Hannah PUKIS ✨ and new middle blocker mcghee, question mark is OH2)
8.Kentucky- (already adds to OH1 problems with 6”5 ✨Megan Wilson✨to help out in the uprising SEC, brings in another top freshman setter to add depth to Grome; solid freshman class coming in to help backcourt and offense).
9. BYU ( Returns UNDERRATED All-american OH1 ✨Erin Livingston✨ who should be even more improved in her backcourt/ passing. {Potentially really good 6”3 freshman OH coming in to help her too} Expect a breakout season in the Big 12 from 6”5 jumping Opposite ✨Kate Prior✨ (got playing time late in the season & never looked back) . Adds to backcourt with freshman Libero coming in along with solid Arizona transfer in L.
10. Baylor - outstanding Setter ✨Averi Carlson✨ will finally have some decent ATHLETIC ( don't get mad its true 🙄) pins to set with the solid freshman class Baylor has coming in { Really excited to see the potential Kendall Murphy & Kendyl Stowers Outside hitter duo} So now Baylors opposite and middles will finally stop being doubled lol) Also how can I forget ✨LAUREN BRISENO✨ ( platform of a God; graded best passing libero in the ncaa for a reason not a season .
11. Florida - ✨Alexis Stucky lol✨ Loses Beason, but SOLID UNDERRATED pick up in ✨Anna Dixon✨. Might even be an upgrade considering she can pass when needed with experience. Floridas season will come down to passing like every other year.
Y'all might be shocked with the last three, but I do my research 😚🫶

This team is PHYSICAL and if the combo of Halter/Barnes/Akana is as good as Fleck/Halter/Akana? Watch out!
