1. Wisconsin 2. Stanford 3. Texas 4. Pitt 5. Nebraska 6. Louisville 7. Marquette 8. Washington State* 9. Oregon 10. Florida HM: Minnesota, BYU * This is either going to make me look like a genius or make me delete my account, we'll see how it plays out. WSU is for sure going to be solid this year, as always playing in the Palouse is a huge wild card for every team that visits. Picking up Iman was huge for them! Getting Rubright back might be bigger - M2 was just not something teams had to defend and the block will help. Iman is a great attacker, but WSU’s other great weakness was ball control and. . . She doesn’t help there.

I love all the enthusiasm for Pitt, but maybe others know something I don't. Pitt has one middle on their 2023 roster, 6'5" sophomore Rachel Jepsen, and she only played 17 sets last fall. I'm excited by her potential, but hope for a nice transfer as well.

Louisville’s setting situation seems very suspect to me to put them in the top 10. I think they should be okay. hopefully Glock had multiple to 25 offers as a highshcooler and was respected as one of the top setters in her class. she's played behind 2 very good setter for the last two seasons so we haven't really seen what she can do. I was at the spring match of Louisville vs Kentucky before Lazaro was with the team and Glock looked pretty good, didn't seem like any sort of weak point of the team and the offense flowed smoothly. she has two year of high level training now, I think she'll transition just fine. Louisville has experienced pins and they play great defense, she'll have some help around her to figure it out

as of now id say :
1. stanford 2. wisco 3. texas 4. Minnesota 5. penn state 6. Louisville 7. Nebraska 8. Kentucky 9. Oregon 10. Pitt
Im seeing 3-7 as basically a toss up tho so many question marks. Louisvilles setting and MB, Kentuckys and minnoesta passing, texas setting and no more eggleston, nebraska setting and offense. I threw oregon and Pitt in because I had no clue who else to put. pitt doesnt have many proven players as of now right?

I think their pin production will help bail them out of passing troubles, but like I said 3-7 to me are up in the air cause they all have question marks. im not really aware of Pitts 'ceiling', I know they have good recruits and some solid returners, but aside from Fairbanks I thought majority of their key players are gone? without any big transfers yet I couldn't find a reason to put them much higher than 10 as of now. too much faith to put into freshman for me. I couldve put them above oregon but I dont see an argument for why they should be ahead of the top 8 YET I actually just looked and they lost a little less than I thought, but still dont know if id put them over the top 8 currently. MB looks like a huge question mark as well as replacing buzzerios production. can they pass?

LSU was 16-14 last year. If Jade Demps is good enough to make LSU a top 10 team, she would have started at Wisconsin. This is a general observation for all, but why not submit your own poll? It's easy criticizing one or two selections in other people's polls; coming up with your own poll is not. Can't I do both? I'm not opposed to submitting a poll, but I haven't given it enough thought yet, and the transfer portal is still active and will continue to be once it opens again after the spring season. While I'm not sure who I'd put in my top 10 just yet, I know right now it won't include LSU, even as an "HM".

Just for the record, I didn't think you were criticizing my poll or my LSU honorable mention. Not sure why there is even criticism of your perceived criticism, lol. I picked LSU because they're one of those teams on the rise. They finished ahead of South Carolina and Mississippi State in the SEC when they were picked in the preseason poll behind them. They had some key wins during conference play, took down a tough Hawai'i team in the 1st round of the NCAA, too. They return most of their players and have added a true right-side attacker.
