I have mixed feelings about this. Guidetti is somehow becoming a liability. He was meant to coach Italy' NT (hence Egonu at Vakifbank and his offer to Pietrini) to try and reverse Mazzanti's weak performance at the 2020 Olympics, in order to get the gold in 2024. Things went misteriously wrong along the way (contract-wise ?) and, following his luxurious turkish deal, he reluctantly accepted less money from Serbia. The best they can do in Paris is try to grab another bronze, though. Ognjenovič makes no sense. He's now 4/6th in the world and will be 40 in '24. He also will likely try to take back either Veljkovič or Rasič and Mihajlovič. I'm sorry for these italian coaches (GG, Mazzanti, Barbolini): they all seem to have lost it. For good. |
