Hello, Badger fan here. We were hoping to purchase a pair of tickets to the Boiler-Badger match on Friday Nov 17th. But when I checked the purduesports.com page today to purchase tickets it said that the match is already sold out and provides a link to a "Buy Now On Seat Geek, Official Ticketing Partner" page for purchasing tickets. Unfortunately, there aren't many tickets available there, and they range in price from $77 to $129. It was a shock seeing that $77 is the *cheapest* ticket. Does anyone here have a suggested way to find more reasonably priced tickets to the Purdue-Wisconsin match? Thanks for any advice! I know I have been around for a long time, but yay Shondell effect! Before him, the change to rally scoring actually extended the time it took the Badgers to beat Purdue, and Badger fans could get a good seat and Purdue would be happy to have them. Now, it has the resale market higher than it may be for a men's hoops game, which the Badgers would lose (they at least win at Purdue sometimes in volleyball, which is an accomplishment, don't get me wrong (but not in the season they won a national title))! I am too lazy to look it up, but I am wondering if Shondell has done as well or better than the signature Purdue men's hoops program in his tenure. Great respect for Shondell, obviously!

Pay the $77. The price will only go higher. Very quietly, Purdue has built a team that is dangerous - and will be for several years. Great back-to-back recruiting classes.

You made me very curious on their comparative records 🤔 Dave Shondell 🏐 435-217 (.667) in 21 years while Matt Painter 🏀 413-198 (.676) in 18 years at Purdue 😎 Of course, they both lack the elusive Final Four/NC but CK is hopeful every year 🤞 that this is the breakthrough for both 😂 BTW, have my two tickets for the Wisconsin game 👍 and looking forward to it 😃 always make 1-2 matches a year every season since 1999 when my son was a freshman 🚂🏐 resale single match ticket prices keep getting higher every year 💵

Thanks, everyone, for the prompt replies!
The $77 (minimum) price is tough to swallow, but at least it's better than the Nebby tickets (which currently START at $128 each [range of $128-$183]).
And that's an interesting comparison of Shondell's success vs Painter's success. I think that both of them are quite likeable, even to "enemy" B10 fans. They are certainly two of my favorites; maybe because they are similar to the types of coaches UW hires (IMO Shondell and Painter are quite similar in many ways to Sheffield and Gard [humble and down to earth]).
I imagine it's been discussed, but with demand like this it's surprising that Purdue doesn't move a couple of the high-demand matches (like UW and Nebby) to a larger facility like Mackey. Seems like they would bring in a big crowd and generate a nice chunk of extra revenue for the Athletic Department. But what do I know? :-)

Purdue used to play the Nebraska match in Mackey. Then they made it the IU match and it was filled to the rafters. It wasn’t officially sold out…but it was hard to see where there was an empty seat during that match. It was a beautiful sight. I forget why they haven’t scheduled a match at Mackey, but it’s not for a lack of trying. HC Shondell wants a match in Mackey…but I honestly forget why. I will have to look on the internet for an interview where he discusses why. I remember back in the old days when Holloway want renovated yet and could literally sit anywhere. The gym was barely a third full. They wouldn’t even scan tickets. They would let anyone in. They didn’t care that my little nephew didn’t have a ticket. Now HC Shondell and company have made it one of the hottest tickets at Purdue. I have loved seeing the program grow into what it is today.

I agree Mackey can have some really good aspects, especially when the team is so popular now, but if I remember correctly there were a few challenges. Logistics to work through with the basketball team, practice time in Mackey takes away from practice time in Holloway, and the sightlines in Mackey are so weird compared to Holloway as well. If you're scheduling against a top 25 team and aren't comfortable in your own gym, then you've lost some home court advantage. The final year I remember it happening was against Nebraska, and even though there may have been ~6000-8000 people there, it felt empty, like K2 said. That said, I wasn't involved with the inner workings of the program so take what I've said with a massive grain of salt.

FWIW, I ponied up ~$111/ticket for Nebraska at Purdue just a few days ago. Seems about 5X what I paid last year, but I got in the first day single match tix went on sale.

When I slipped over to campus for the Purdue/Indiana football game in 2021, I looked into tickets for the volleyball game that night against, I think, Nebraska. During the week, the Big Ten race was still in the balance so tickets were high in demand. Plus it was Annie Drews Bobblehead Night. If I remember right, the cheapest ticket available was $500.

Did anyone make it out to thr first Black and Gold Scrimmage yesterday? From video, it looks like Poulter was out there setting (along with Yim and Anderson), which is a great thing!
Excited to see who wins this middle battle between Carr/Meyers. Also curious about the OPP position 🤔

I have been very curious about Poulter’s status, 2nd MB, and Opp for this team. Does it look like Poulter is recovered to the point where she’s the starter? Super impressive if so!

Poultry looked good. Carr has the lead imo. Still too early.

She's in the #6 jersey. Looks like this team was: Chicoine (OH), Hudson (OH), Rastovski (OPP), Poulter (S), Colvin (MB), Hornung (L) Not sure what condition Poulter is in, but she's been cleared to practice and has been.
