Current information, hot off the presses! Tighter restrictions applied by the Biden administration against migrants from Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and Haiti along the southern border last month led to a precipitous drop in the number of people from those countries crossing into the United States illegally, according to three administration officials and preliminary data.
Illegal crossings by migrants from the four countries were down more than 95 percent, preliminary figures obtained by The Washington Post show. Overall, the number of migrants stopped along the Mexico border last month fell to about 150,000, down from the record-high 251,487 tallied in December, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data and officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss enforcement figures not yet finalized.That 150,000 number is the lowest in two years I believe. www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/02/01/us-border-crossings/ |

You were actually mad because I suggested that all the sanctuary cities equally deal with the problem they wanted in the first place? That is completely logical. They are the ones that supported people pouring over the border so they are the ones that can take care of them. Practice what you preach. If you can’t then shut up. So exactly what state purpose does this serve? I mean - the rationale for spending taxpayer funds is that it benefits the state in some way. But of course you know this is all to boost DeSantis's political aims. And the legislatures if more than willing to waste Florida state funds on this. I'm pretty sure you know this an approve of spending taxpayer money for the benefit of GOP political causes. That's why you're such a hypocrite. Who cares?
