JFO posted that they got a new recruit for OSU, anyone know who it could be? Navea Gauthier from FarOutVBC So, "Nevaeh" is "heaven" backward. But, now we're getting into the realm of "kids with alternate spellings of brand new names are going to college soon." This is scary. I feel old af. P.S. Navea is a gem and is from a very rural town in Michigan, and I love that Club vball exposes these kids. Back in the day, Alisha Glass, also from a very rural town in Michigan, was not able to play Club bc the Michigan season was in the winter. A lawsuit changed that in 2007, but I'm so glad she found a way to get exposure prior to Instagram.

Very good get for the Aggies Pretty great class for them so far it seems Agreed. I always felt there was room for two outstanding programs in TX, and felt like Baylor was on their way up. A&M is saying "hold my beer" with their last few classes. Hope the results come soon!

He’s continuing his relationship with national teams, too, and that will help pay dividends. Personally, I feel like the talent in the state is enough to suppprt multiple programs at a high level. Especially with UT being such a national draw. And the talent and young women entering the sport just seems to be growing.

Anyone else feel like a LOT has happened this off-season?! 110% agree w you. I think A&M is also benefitting in a weird way from UT moving to the SEC. "The rivalry renewed" or something like that.

It’s been an echo chamber for many matches, but when Texas comes to town the place goes absolutely gonzo. While not at the same level in Austin, it’s a bigger setting when A&M is involved for sure. It’s also interesting because Morrison was the volunteer assistant with assistants Erik Sullivan and Tonya Johnson for a little over a year. A lot of us credited him with the improvement in the backcourt play during the Covid year when Texas lost in the championship match to Kentucky.

Does anyone know if there is a current favorite to land Ryan Hunter? Thanks. She just attended the Nebraska dream camp. I don’t know anything about her recruitment really, though.

Random, probably stupid, question. It might just be me, but this is the first year I’m hearing this much emphasis put on camps as they pertain to recruiting. I know we’re all reading tea leaves still, but do camps really have a strong correlation to where top recruits end up? Or is this a byproduct of the new recruiting calendar?

Camps are everything for recruitment. Kids have a chance to get a feel for a program.
