Yeah the markets will determine a lot. What do you think the odds are of there being a west coast team the first year? I see there’s still one TBA team on the front page and pretty much every announced/unconfirmed team is in the Midwest or the South. What are the cities that are rumored to have a team? Confirmed: Atlanta Omaha Grand Rapids I'm so frustrated with market announcements right now that I'm ready for them to call it good at four teams and move forward. But, that's obviously not happening. According to the map someone got a shot of during the USWNT Open: (credit avid 2.0 for originaly posting the image) there's a descent chance for a SoCal franchise. Yeah the market rollout’s been molasses paced to say the least.

im pretty sure volleyguy said the SoCal interest was turned off by the league's vision/business plan or something I'm familiar with two different groups of investors who were interested and in discussions, and both are out. There may be someone else pursuing it, but I'm not aware of any options that are left. There are a lot of things that point to the PVF having a hard time getting up and running. Extending the team/franchise announcement deadlines twice (or is it three?) certainly isn't a good sign. There's also not an official announcement for Dallas, which was reportedly affiliated with the Founders--that's definitely not a good sign. Omaha hasn't announced a coach, or any more details as far as I know. And concerns about where the economy is headed may also play heavily into the willingness to put a lot of money at risk. Moving back the announced play-off dates from June to prior to May 15 (due to FIVB rules) is new info, but not knowing that rule to begin with (Hello Cecile!) is, well, amateurish. I like the franchise model personally, but it still requires some centralized administration and resources, and I don't think the duo operating as Founders is as experienced or competent as they believed or portrayed themselves. I hope they are at least able to get four teams going full strength.

Green = Confirmed Teams What does Blue and Red stand for? I think Red pins were/are closer to realization than Blue, who were/are longer-term projects. But, no one who went to the presentation has said, I don't think.

i like seeing these new names sign with PVF but the marketing for this is still so messy
we're getting bits and pieces here and there and it feels too unorganized to gain any real hype or traction right now
