I get the feeling that thebump97 is BeachbytheBay's burner account. Obviously only here to troll and live off the 2019 team's laurels. The other half dozen LB threads that were recently started are now fading away to oblivion since no one pays attention to them.

You’re right about the setting issue. I think LB is underrated this year and Knipe has been in the lab with noezybuckets so don’t count them out. I think the question is who are the next best teams after ucla How is LBSU underrated this year? They have a stacked roster and multiple year starters on that floor. It is not our fault that the glaring weakness on that team is setting and Daddy knipe will never bench is son unless it's far inferior opponents where he is not needed on the court. The only issue for them even though daddy won't ever pull the trigger....is at setter. And tbh, if you have a mid setter...you not winning no natty most of the time. Not saying it cant happen. That's just the truth. You can have all the firepower and passing in the world (which LBSU has imo)....your setters decision making in many instances will set the tone. Aiden won't be benched and if I remember correctly I said even when Aiden was a frosh that his technique won't get his team a natty. So far so true unfortunately because I truly love his grit and determination as a player and person. But we all know the weak point is and has always been at setter the past couple years. And I don't see that changing until maybe Nikolov takes over. Can you elaborate on what you feel he’s doing incorrectly technique wise? |

Hawaii is still a big question mark for this year. They will be good but the pin lineup and starting libero are still not solidified. UCLA should beat them this year but LB 2019 beats both lil buddy Not sure what you are talking about because Choy at Libero is a lock (his backup Sears hasnt seen any significant playing time during the off season) and our two starting outsides are 3 year starters with loads of experience and are 2x national champions. The only true question mark as it stands to me would be at Oppo which I will concede to you. I know Hawaii will be very good as usual. 2019 lbsu would cream most teams so not sure why they are being brought up on this thread. Lol Tuaniga and Defalco made that championship team. Tuaniga with his quick spot on sets and TJ with his crazy varied shots. That boy had more gears than an 18 wheeler. |

He has been busting his ass at WRC so I wonder if they want him to boost his conditioning. I'll see if i can casually strike a conversation next time I see him lol. He has that stoic, intimidating mobster look hahaha Please keep us updated. I dm'd Gui a bit ago when he posted about Pokemon when he was in Japan with the team. I asked him if he played Pokemon Go and he said he did, not anymore. Lol. I mean Brett Rosenmeier & Pat Gasman added me on Pokémon Go years ago back when they used to play. Lol. 🤣😅 There hasn't been an instance when we're both working out in the same area and resting between sets.... but I'll take it as a good sign that his workouts are geared towards playing VB-- box jumps, kettlebell jumps, etc.
Sadly they are closing the gym for maintenance/ closing early until January so I guess we'll both find out when the season starts

Lb 2019 is a pretty tough team to be compared against bud. Hawaii is def in there this year to beat UCLA. UCLA last year may even give 2019 lb a run for their money don’t you think? Lmfao Well when he jump sets, it looks like he has a case of stuck s**t. Lmao And his decision making under pressure just hasn't been up to par in big game matches throughout the years. Is he talented? Oh hell yeah! Will his setting help them win a natty....I highly doubt it with UCLA the clear favorite. But I guess we shall see. |
