Josh Walker of Baylor is an assistant coach for the team, so he’s also gonna have some pull for Briseño (and Sczech). Wasn't Briseno the best passing libero in the country last year? There are certainly times in the past where these USAV roster selections almost certainly were about picking favorites over who actually is the best, Briseno doesn't seem like one of those cases. she is so talented. I’d be shocked if she wasn’t selected. |

Grace Chillingworth out of Pepperdine would have been my pick for OPP. We all know there are better U21 players right now than a lot of players on this training roster - availability, desire etc. not withstanding. But team USA doesn’t need to send the best players to this event, so they are going to take the players that have the most future potential (in their eyes). |

You have to think USA wants to invest in Kennedy Martin. A 6'6" opposite with a super high ceiling. It might not be this roster but I expect she will be a staple on rosters for years to come.

Ella has always been in the cusp of making these rosters. I'm sure she's always going to be extra motivated to keep training. We love our Swindle.
