I'm not sure it was her decision. Sounds like more of a staff decision to go in another direction.

I fully expect a number of decommits over the summer. Why? For three scenarios that are real and we are seeing with other college sports. There is no reason volleyball will be any different. The transfer portal is working in favor and against recruits. 1. Recruit commits to School X, then School X takes a Transfer at the same position, and then Recruit doesn't like the fact the Coach just took a transfer at the same position so Recruit decommits and finds a new school. 2. Recruit shows tremendous development between early in the Club season to end of Club season. Catches the eye of some bigger programs and now wants to pursue playing for a bigger program. 3. Recruit digresses during Club season and College Head Coach encourages recruit to find another program because the Coach doesn't think it is a good fit. |
