I'm amazed that Cal has gone 0-20 in conference for two straight seasons and kept their coach. I'd say it is likely because he inherited the team and needs a few years to get his own recruits in to see if he can make a difference or not. You gotta think this or next year is his last if improvement isn't shown. But speaking of CAL, it is still to be determined what happens with Lydia Grote, who entered the portal. She is playing at Minnesota.

Oregon, USC, and Utah finally added their schedules to their websites. Oregon and USC scheduled solid preseason schedules. Utah not so much.

Probably a good idea, but not ideal right before a season is to start.

Crissy Jones will be the interim head coach. Before being hired by Crosson less than 6 months ago, she had zero coaching experience.

She will have virtually zero expectations this season. I think they could go winless, and no one would blame her as opposed to Crosson. And she gets a year of head coaching experience in the Pac-12, which could be valuable down the line.

I love the USC support here but they are the 5th-6th team in the Pac 12 for 2023. Something is really off about their on court chemistry.

How do you rank the four corner schools?

How do you rank the four corner schools? Colorado is the best of the four. I think they could finish 4th or 5th in the conference if they can figure out their passing situation. The rest are kind of up in the air but they should finish above Cal and Oregon St. I’d probably put Utah in front on AZ because AZ has talented pins, but there are question marks everywhere else. ASU has a good core back but idk if their outsides other than Levinska will be able to score enough points.

OSU added some quality transfers. They may surprise some teams. Utah and AZ have reverse problems. Utah has a strong libero though questionable pin strength, though strong enough to beat poor passing teams. AZ has strong pins but questionable passing. ASU is a mixed bag, but more similar to AZ's situation. I see teams in the 5-11 range just beating up on each other lol.

I’m interested to see what Oregon St. can do in year one.
