I think it’s a rule that,
if a player has a bad week, and you bench them the next week, then they’re going to have a good week on the bench.
Likewise, if a player has a good week on your bench, and you play them the next week, then they will have a bad week on your active roster.
Finally, if you play reverse psychology and try to interfere with the above rules, you will inevitably get screwed over by the volleyball gods.

Klaire Mitchell gets pulled at 15-4 because they are dominating.....instead of finishing in the possible 13+ assists per set, 3+ digs per set range, she's going to end with a pedestrian 10.6 assists per set and 2.3 digs per set....  |
