I DO like the idea that we can have a set returning player. So long as we keep the same number of teams, I'd propose that all returning teams get to pick a player from their prior year team to be on their current year roster. All new players are randomly assigned a team from the prior year to also pick a player to be on their roster. All of these players are non-draftable, then we do the draft like normal. That actually does sound kind of cool. But I'm not sure I'd want anyone back from my team this year for a 1st-round pick. I have a lot of 5th year-seniors. But like if someone drafted Dana Rettke or Plummer in their 1st years... that could really pay off. but that's the thing, in my proposal, it's not really a first round pick, it's the "returning pick". The first round of the draft would still be up for grabs.

did Tatum parrot die? edit: libero as a keeper might be a little extra, but that freshman lib you have is INSANE Tatum's in a really big serving slump, and hasn't been digging many balls. Not looking like 1st round pick material. Libero depends on eligiblity rules. @madden55 would probably take her 1st round though just cause she's Serbian.

If ay2013 wins this whole thing, the Fantasy Player of the Year has to be Bree Borum. non-negotiable. My OH situation is on LIFE SUPPORT and I have no add/drops left. Stivrins doesn't play back row anymore, Delucchi was out for two weeks and only played one match this week, and I have no idea what is up with Brangioni. And where the hell is O'Farrelle!?!

This is my second year in a row with both Amelia Moore and Kenna Sauer.
I had Regan Pittman two years in a row. I also remember really wanting to hold onto Paulina Hogaard-Jensen, Shannon Scully, and Jessica Donahue in consecutive years, but got beat to the punch.

My team turned it out in digs this week. I mean you were due. you love your law of averages and I’d been on top for 3 weeks now. I just wish I played 4S, but I thought it left me too susceptible to rainbow. Yeah, my team was actually blah in assists this week.

me and vballfan17's matchup is big for a number of reasons, but i just realized the biggest of them all: it's jenny wessling's revenge match.
will she go off for 7dps for me not trusting her to win the libero jersey? will rachel come through bigger and better than ever to prove that i didnt need her anyways? find out on next week's episode of Real Househusbands of VolleyTalk
edit: and to even add on to this, vballfan took my local girl Kyndal Stowers in the draft. granted, she seems to be a shaky play now. he also has my arch nemesis, Niki Capizzi.

I wish I had two more add/drops left. My entire post draft game has been abysmal.

I wish I had two more add/drops left. My entire post draft game has been abysmal. what's the history of the number of add/drops post free period? it's varied. Everything from unlimited add/drops for the entire non-conference + more, to 10 add/drops for the ENTIRE year after the draft. That year, my number 1 setter pick went to a 6-2, two of my top 3 OH picks were injured for the season, and a 3rd top OH was in and out with injury. I got 8th that year, which was quite amazing given how crummy that situation was.

Also, it would add a bit of intrigue to the actual first round picks because (presumably) all of the "obvious" first round picks will already be off the board.
