Hopefully everyone had a good Thanksgiving! To wrap up the fantasy season, lets get the all conference team situated. Is there any strong objection to a self-selected member of your own team for the 14 member all fantasy team and then votes for the following: Player of the Year, Setter of the Year, Libero of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Post-Draft Player of the Year? so far we have the following submissions: 2023 All Fantasy Team:Alyssa Miller, S, Dayton - (vballfan17) Bree Borum, S, Loyola Chicago - (ay2013) Manu Johnsen, OH, Kennesaw St. (vup) Player of the YearSophie Fischer (2.5) - (ay2013, vballfan17, vup) Bree Borum (0.5) - (vup) Setter of the YearBree Borum (2) - (ay2013, vballfan17) Luanna Emiliano (1) - (vup) Libero of the YearAnna Burke (1) - (vballfan17) Mari Hinkle (1) - (ay2013) Jenny Wessling (1) - (vup) Defensive Player of the YearCarter Booth (1) - (vballfan17) Ifenna Cos-Okpalla (2) - (ay2013, vup) Freshman of the YearKennedy Martin (3) - (ay2013, vballfan17, vup) Post-Draft Player of the YearDylan Maberry (1) - (ay2013, vballfan17) Tatum Parrot (1) - (vup) Awaiting Submissions: agean09blackiechan1999eazyFight On!huskerpowerKingsley@madden55 rainbowbadgertrojanscuofaGRADvballfreak808

I'm voting Kujundzic because her impact being able to used as a freshman makes her more fantasy valuable.. while her numbers already make her one of the best liberos.
All-Fantasy Team: Sophie Davis, MB, James Madison
Player of the Year: Sophie Fischer, MB, Georgia
Setter of the year: Bree Borum, S, Loyola-Chicago
Libero of the Year: Anja Kujundzic, L, VCU
Defensive Player of the Year: Ifenna Cos-Okpalla, MB, Texas A&M
Freshman of the Year: Anja Kujundzic, L, VCU
Post-Draft Player of the Year: Dylan Maberry, OH, High Point

All-Fantasy Team submission: Dylan Maberry, OH, High Point
(it actually kills me not to be able to nominate Kate Standifird, Jill Pressly, Madi Skinner, Luanna Emiliano, hell even Oberpriller and Igiede!😭)
POY: Sophie Fischer, MB, Georgia SOY: Bree Borum, Loyola Chicago😒 LOY: Anja Kujundzic, VCU DPOY: Ifenna Cos-Okpalla, Texas A&M (I really wanted to vote for Sophie Thompson lowkey lol) Post-Draft Pickup: Dylan Maberry, OH, High Point
oh freshman: Kennedy Martin, OH, Florida (sorry queen Anja)

I actually think Standifird and Emiliano are strong setter of the year candidates, or your all conference selection. Maberry is likely to get post draft POY.

I just think Bree’s kills and blocks give her the edge over Kate and Luanna. Ifenna’s blocking numbers are insane, I just thought Sophie deserved a shoutout, but not enough to ignore Ifenna’s insane numbers. Dylan, if not for Sophie Fischer’s positional value, would have a great case as POY, which is wild when you consider she wasn’t drafted.

Dylan, if not for Sophie Fischer’s positional value, would have a great case as POY, which is wild when you consider she wasn’t drafted. Oh, if we were playing for points I was going to draft her for sure (or if I actually wanted to play for kills). But my strategy this year was just to over perform in three specific categories. I just needed digs and aces from my OH's and she was a bit too much of a question mark back there given her prior year performances. I knew she was going to be a strong kill and generally decent all around OH and a player to watch this season (I watched plenty of High Point matches last year as Palazzolo was on my team), which is why I told you to pick her up, I didn't want her . I also took a long look at drafting Tatum Parrott, but in the end I went with my gut and decided against it as she played on the same team as Mitchell and I didn’t want to have two players competing for digs. Her and Standifird are picks I regret not taking in the draft because of the general strategy of having as much diversity of a team as possible. I hope people were doing research on the sleepers for next year, there are going to be some good ones, that's for sure. I'll be curious to see which impact mid-major players stay for another year or which jump ship to better P5 programs.
