Thanks everyone, OP updated. Odin VT Five-0 Once we get winners updated, this thread can be un-pinned. 1st - eazy 2nd - uofaGRAD 3rd - vballfreak808
I think there's debate every year on how to decide on player awards. I think 'All-American' lists would be the most fair, because I don't think 'OPOY, DPOY, SOY, FOY' etc give out enough credit. Maybe every participant gets to nominate 3 or 5 or 7 players and then the league votes? Or open the voting up to the public? Just brainstorming. Bumping this so we can get it un-pinned as nothing new is coming.

NCAA setter pool this year is freakin’ lame is it? There's a lot of setters being taken. I thought the pin pool was lame. Remember when Bannister, Dvoracek, Pressley, Samedy, Jordan Thompson, Melville, etc. were all putting up ridiculous numbers in the same year? There isn't a pin-corp like that this year IMO. Looking back at the 2023 season, of the fantasy eligible teams, almost 40% of the top 30 in points per set came from players that were either picked in the second half of the draft, picked up after the draft, or never picked up at all. That's probably a record. Only 1 of the top 10 aces per set among eligible players (Briggs) was picked up in the top half of the draft.

I know I had at least Dylan Maberry that was undrafted. Madi Skinner I think I grabbed in the top half but man I got her SO LATE for the value she ended up providing

I was bored today and doing a fantasy autopsy on my team for the season and looking at the general data to see if I could locate some things that I missed from the year prior. I was just looking at the NCAA stats by player rank and comparing generally to the draft order on the first page (players like Parrott, Levinska, Hovey, Gillan, Maddux, Maberry, Johnson, Babock, Palazzo etc.)

I’m mad because south Alabama kept messing with Maddux’s rotations so I didn’t want to keep her on my roster. in hindsight, I probably have enough digs on my roster not to worry about it.

I really want to participate in this next year! Looking forward to it! Just watch for posts over the summer about fantasy. There’s usually enough interest for multiple leagues. This one tends to have a lot of returners, but challengers league this year was a lot of fun too. You can do a lot of different formats/point calculations so I know several of us are interested in playing around with more leagues with different rules and formats.

Thank you, I will keep my eyes peeled. So from reading the thread and if I understand properly, it is basically like fantasy football but with volleyball players? And you keep the same team the entire season? How does the draft work?

The challengers league this year was excellent! I really hope it expands as more people get into Fantasy. If the challengers league wants to self operate this year, that's completely cool, but if not, I will offer to non-participate admin the challengers league again.
