There were moments when I thought Slovenia could come back but they couldn’t sustain it. Japan showed their defense and great transition, but Ishikawa was the clear mvp

That play was crazy: the foot save, pass clips the net, Miyaura being clutch Underrated “dig” pass by the Japanese libero after the free ball clipped the net and drastically changed trajectory. Japan’s libero was on another level today |

Yuki Ishikawa is so good!l 27 points in 3 sets from 22 attacks, 4 blocks and 1 ace. I love his leadership also.

Felt like Nishida had some clutch line kills when Slovenia was threatening to inch closer at times.

The Japanese men have such great energy. They challenged the block so much and the setting was incredible. Ishikawa and Yamamoto were really good.
Slovenia’s young OH was moved to OPP and I think that helped, he was getting tooled by Nishida all evening.
A lot of Japan fans wearing Poland attire in the house
