Nevada beats Wyoming in 5. Didn't see that one coming. Nevada has been getting more wins this season, and they especially like their 5 setters. |

New Mexico holds off San Diego State in five sets. Lobos led 2-0 before the Aztecs pushed it to five sets
SDSU was up 14-7 in the fifth set but UNM went on a 9-0 run(!!!) to win 14-16

Looks like Utah State is having a rough start.
Also Air Force beat UNLV in 4 which seemed unlikely. I looked at the stats and it looks like 2 of UNLVs top players did not play. Hopefully they won't be out for long.

Looks like Utah State is having a rough start. Also Air Force beat UNLV in 4 which seemed unlikely. I looked at the stats and it looks like 2 of UNLVs top players did not play. Hopefully they won't be out for long. USU is playing with about 6 freshman in the rotation. Not to mention it's been a revolving door of players at both the OH and setting positions. They're talented, but this is likely a rebuilding year for them with so many moving parts and inexperience. |

Mountain Mess update
CSU sweeps SJSU (who was missing Nayeli Ti’a)
Boise takes care of business against Air Force 3-1
Fresno survives a reverse sweep attempt against Wyoming IN LARAMIE
USU gets on the board with a five setter against SDSU (that’s USUs EIGHT five setter in a row)
Nevada trying to force a fifth against UNLV (still missing Quinlin and Freeman, but I also think Nevada is better that people think they are)

UNLV being out 2 of their strongest players is definitely hurting them. I wonder how long they'll be out for.

I think these top 4 in the standings will be in for sure. The remaining 2 are a toss up but Id favor UNLV amd Boise St, but we will see. |
