With BG losing a key player, Ball State could run the table in conference. They are likely going to be a top 50 RPI team. Creighton and LSU are the biggest benefactors here...Creighton for boosting their probable seed resume, and LSU for getting a good bump for an at-large bid (assuming both win...here's to Ball State taking out BOTH of those pretenders)

I like Central Michigan as a sleeper team in the MAC this year. They have a solid setter in Ammerall and a couple of P5 MB transfers that should provide depth. Fire Up!

Amanda Otten, BGSU Freshman Setter/RS was named MAC East Division OPOW.
Otten was outstanding with two double-doubles during the opening weekend. She posted her first career double-double, nearly a triple-double, on Saturday against No. 14 Ohio State with 14 kills, 23 assists and nine blocks, before closing the weekend with another double-double against Northern Kentucky, totaling 17 assists and 13 kill along with seven digs and a weekend-best .526 hitting percentage. She was named to the all tournament team, along with teammate Kat Mandly.

That would have been NPOW worthy, especially if they won.

I had a couple of typos in my post that you quoted before I had a chance to edit them. Sorry about that!

Buffalo is giving real sleeper team vibes in the MAC... They're cruising vs Mizzou rn They're led by Slovakian Trebichavska who has a real nasty serve. Interestingly, she transferred from rival Bowling Green. I'm a Danijela Tomic stan, so I can't root for Buffalo too hard.

Triple-double last night in four sets with 17 kills (0.355), 13 assists, and 11 digs (also three aces). Also didn't know Lauryn Hovey played as a setter as well. I would love to see BGSU run a 6-2 with Otten and Hovey both playing all the way around.

BGSU won both matches of a home/away series with Michigan. Both matches went 5 sets. Nice preparation for conference play beginning later this week.
