Incredible one on zero by Reilly, but this is the type of transition offense that IU has been missing since… ever? Great job by Gary. I was so impressed by Gary at the UA game and she continues to impress me every match. She showed no fear against the huskers and played some great defense. Great get for the Hoosiers and excited to watch her grow these next few years.

An RPI of 54 is probably the highest for this program in a very long time.
Keep it up, Hoosiers! We need a big upset of one of the higher ups in conference; the showing against Nebraska demonstrated that they can keep up, but not as consistently yet.
However, it was Nebraska! They are incredible and my pick for the NC next year. Oh, and also THIS year.

Pretty nervous about IU facing Penn State’s block this weekend. Hoping defense and serving tough will at least keep it interesting!

Pretty nervous about IU facing Penn State’s block this weekend. Hoping defense and serving tough will at least keep it interesting! 15-11 in the fifth was a HUGE opportunity to let slip away for the Hoosiers. At least they were able to refocus and sweep Maryland the next night (also the night after Maryland beat Minnesota)

Wow, so happy for this squad! Two sellouts so far. Will the Monon Spike finally have a new home this year? We'll see!

Hey. Is anyone gonna do a Purdue v Indiana thread for tomorrow. It's the one time I'm really interested in this matchup, and it's on BTN!
If it's there, I apologize, but I can't find it.

I remember in a couple of the Bond years, around this time of season, the excitement of an upcoming ranked opponent and thinking “holy sh*t could this be the day?” Hoping to see an Indiana win tomorrow, rooting for this squad!

Congrats to the Hoosiers on the rivalry win! Indiana’s making a very good case to make the tournament this year and actually do pretty well. I think Aird is just a competitive harda** coach who has high expectations for his players (not far off from his mentor Russ Rose…) and there’s a group of players who don’t respond well to that. Now that he’s had time to recruit athletes who share the same ideals as him they’re thriving. Haworth in particular is like the reincarnation of Micha Hancock, very strong, very competitive and always playing at 100%.

I can also offer a ticket swap. I have two tickets available to the Indiana match AT Wisconsin. They are excellent seats! I’m not sure it’s going to be difficult to buy tickets to an IU volleyball match. It’s doubtful there’s ever been a sell-out And now there's been two! Wow!

That's certainly a choice in this day and age. Shout out to Ramsey Gary, Isa Lopez and Grae Gosnell! I love their fire. Oh, and Tatum too - she seems tough. That kind of "edge" is something I can't remember this program ever having.

I actually think a good handful of players would and have chosen his program just for that reason though. He’s got another great recruiting class coming in the next couple years too. Not super tall but physical and scrappy. Chicoine would’ve been amazing under him, lots of fire and strength.

Super happy to see Indiana doing so well this season! I agree that Gary is a great libero. She reminds me of Lexi Rodriguez in a lot of ways. In any case, did Chicoine consider Indiana at any point? Additionally, is it a wild stretch to think that there is a glint of a power shift between Purdue and Indiana, with Indiana clearly on the rise and Purdue tapering off from the past few years of being so dominant? If so, I wonder how that will affect recruiting prep players from Indiana who are considering one of the two schools?

In the past, they sort of "lucked" into Ashley Benson, the program's only first team All American, because her dad played basketball for the Hoosiers. IU has never (for clear reasons) been the destination for highly ranked recruits. Ryann Connors was, waaaay back, I think, the first highly ranked commit out of HS to choose Indiana, and then IU made the tournament in 98 and 99. I'm dating myself. Anywho, It would be great if Indiana kids like Shaffmaster, Cresse, Stumler, Kendall White, (the state churns out some good players) would now look at IU! Great new facilities, and a reinvigorated interest in the program from fans. Go Hoosiers.
