I don't fully know why, but I'm just kind of bored watching Minnesota play. I'm not rooting against them at all, Grote and Murr bring some pizzaz, and Wucherer absolutely put some balls into the floor tonight, but overall I just don't find them exciting.

Landfair looked much better tonight. Wucherer is showing why she was a number 1 recruit. Murr and shaffmaster.. just wow. Defense was š„ Landfair had 3 kills 3 errors hit 0 and passed terribly lol. The rest of minny looked good tho |

This was maybe the most off Iāve ever seen herā¦ I love that we have a team where the B1G player of the year can have a bad night and we still do well, we have depth at the pins and thatās great. Wuch had such a great performance and our floor defense was the best Iāve seen from us in a while. Serve receive continues to be an issue. Iām a Taylor Landfair Stan. Every player has off games, and my GOAT for Minnesota pretty much had an entire off season, it happens, but Iām confident sheāll get back in there. Iām okay that she is a little bit quieter on the court, not every person needs the high energy. |

Maybe this is something to talk with your therapist about? I was at the pav tonight and had a great time. Some amazing out of system kills, awesome blocks, and real fire in many of the players. |

If youāre talking about how she played? No she was much worse. She had a few great kills last night and tonight was clearly off. Thatās ok.Iām happy sheās on my team and donāt expect her to be amazing everytime but to say she looked way better tonight is fake news. |

Different vibe at the Pav. People are excited about this team. Taking NOTHING from Hugh, I also think people are excited about having Cook as HC. He brings more emotion. You can see he gets a little annoyed at a bad play and pumped when something goes well.
Murr's anticipation is off the charts. She knew a setter dump was coming (2nd set) and was filling the doughnut hole by getting there early.
Fun, fun, fun to watch this team. Like the substitutions and moving the playing time around.
Thumbs up and looking forward to Tuesday.

Well, that was an exciting match! Here's what I saw from my vantage point, though most of the game things have already been hashed and rehashed.
Game Stuffs
* What's up with Taylor, and is it reason to be concerned or make a change? After the TCU match I said she looked more like Adanna Rollins with her hitting, and tonight only reinforced that. Let's hope it's just that she's under the weather or maybe it's an off weekend for her.
* The scrappiness tonight was next level. We saw it in previous years, so it's good to have it back with this group as well. The ability to keep tough rallies going and win them is a huge momentum and morale boost for the team.
* The 6-2 returned again in the third set. Is it something that the Gophers want to try regularly? If Crowl plays as hot as she did tonight, perhaps it's more on the table than we'd think.
Non-Game Stuffs (that may only interest me)
* I showed up during the Wisconsin/TCU match. The Baylor players were sitting in our seats so we sat near them. My friend was talking about some family in Texas and let out a "I definitely wouldn't want to live in Texas" due to the heat. Half the team looked at her, airpods being pulled out, as she was like "...But no offense to you all of course!" We had a laugh and BS-ed with the Baylor players until they had to get ready for the match.
* When looking up which Baylor players talked to us, I noticed on the roster, they all have their socials, but then a $ logo next to them. Apparently it's for opendorse, which is a NIL thing for players. Some of the Gophers are on there too, but it's not on the roster, smart move on Baylor's part to promote that in my opinion
* Since she doesn't serve in-game it's a non-game stuff, but Phoebe's serve approach is different... It's almost Fred Flintstone-like. I can't figure out how it works but it does
* It looks like the Gopher bench is trying to do some stuff when they are on serve, like when everyone made a "C" for CC serving. What I want to know is, what is that thing they're doing when Kylie serves? I'm here for it, but I have no clue what it is.
* The TCU players also sat near us to watch the Gopher/Baylor game. I don't know where they got their food from (other than definitely not the concession stands) but it looked good and I wanted some. Parra also had some ice wrapped around her left ankle when she came over.

Players almost always have ice-wrapped limbs for a while after their match, so probably not something for TCU fans to worry about. |

Next Tuesday should be interesting... The Minnesota v. Texas game should be a hoot. Watched both of their matches this weekend. We are going to beat Texas at home. |
