...orr was the one who wrote the note that cook keeps on quoting as well about how "tonight we will make the impossible possible". just shows how much it meant to every member of this team to be a part of. i love nebraska vball but it's really messed up that not everyone got to play tonight. jerk move by the staff. My guess is Orr wasn’t able to play due to injury or something of the sort. I don’t think he’d show that much heart for the kid and let her sit through that. She certainly doesn’t appear disappointed |

It's like on senior night when all the seniors get to see floor time, it's just the nice thing to do....Omaha wasn't even good enough to get to 15 points in any set. Beason was 3-2-20 and Murray was 6-2-15 with 1 dig...like let Jurivicious and Kubik play, damn.... |

It makes total sense for a player to say "only put me in a match if I win out a spot or the team needs me on the court to help us win". Otherwise, leave the door open for a redshirt if that moment never comes this season. |

didn't watch the match but omg they actually packed the stadium!! huge for volleyball & women's sports. also usav there is an interest in the sport (otherwise 90k wouldn't have attended...) please try 💗 |

All of these resources and eyeballs and a blow-out sweep like this is just simply not as entertaining as a 5 setter thriller against an equal opponent. No one is saying this is not incredible. No one is saying this isn't historic, but it would have been nice to see some higher level play LET ALONE just so the match could also last longer than an hour and half. Either way what a night for volleyball! No at-large tournament quality team would agree to this charade, and I wouldn't be surprised if Nebraska tried very hard with $$$ to try and get a good team to play them for this. |

Proud to be a Husker, but damn...really disappointed that Cook couldn't get those bench players in for at lest a few points in the third set.

Is it just me or why does it always sound like someone's exhaling into the mic when the BIG10 network transition animation plays after a replay it's been driving me crazy I kinda like the "whoosh" sound when they do that replay graphic : ) |

Those coaches would be EXTREMELY small-minded and selfish. There are 23 female athletes IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD who have played in front of 92,000 fans. It would be exceedingly disappointing if any coach deprived their athletes of that opportunity because of weird playing conditions. |

This was truly an amazing event and really phenomenal for the sport. However, I really wish Cook was scheduled a more competitive match (eg Creighton). If 92,000 fans and the viewing audience could see two top teams going at it, it would have been that much better for volleyball. I think it was a missed opportunity.

Eh....it was a moment in time for fans, coaches, athletes and our sport of Volleyball and more importantly for women athletics. That overrides the competition. EVERYTHING WAS VERY COOL ABOUT THIS EVENING. Women athletes are smiling tonight.....and if you were a girl who played volleyball at some point in your life the smile is even wider. |
