Nebraska averaged 346,000 per match this year across BTN (14) and ESPN (1).
I am curious if BTN has any data/analytics on 5pm/7pm or 6pm/8pm starts on viewership.
I know there are some issues with ET first serves... but I'd like to see Nebraska be used as a lead in for west coast games next year.
(ive just realized are we gonna get 5pm/7pm/9pm CT triple headers next year lol)

What NFL team would be the best lure / lead-in to a volleyball match for Nebraska viewers? Who cares? Make it Nebraska-Wisconsin after a Packers game. It's not like Nebraska viewers need an NFL team as a lure. The right answer to "what NFL team would be the best lure/lead-in to a volleyball match for Nebraska viewers" is "any of them." I think the question to ask would be which opponent would be the best served for it? if im the B1G, id look at a USC matchup.

I’m hopeful 116,000 average is a low water mark for years to come. ESPN needs more Nebraska matches on its networks.

Id imagine part of that number being dragged down by a random 30,000 Big West Match and the MEAC final on ESPNU had. ESPN wishes for that probably... their fault for having rights to two postseason NE matches and sticking them on ESPN+ lol.

I doubt ESPN will get too many since Nebraska is a Big Ten school, and ESPN isn't part of the new Big 10 TV deal. But yes, for any road matches at SEC or ACC schools. Big 12 too, possibly, though I'm not exactly sure who has the priority on those matches between Fox and ESPN. I tend to think it's probably ESPN since they have more priority on football games, and most Big 12 Olympic sports are on ESPN+ if they're not on a linear channel.

Another reason B1G teams on ESPN might be few and far between is that the current reliance on RPI for tournament seeding puts a premium on scheduling 'good' mid-majors early on with 2-3 top teams later in the non-conference schedule. Ask Ohio State, Minnesota and Penn State how well playing top teams early on works out for their seeding.

Fox showed a couple of Texas matches on Thursday nights. Not sure how the selection process works between the two networks for the Big 12, though. I don’t expect many Nebraska matches at all on ESPN. I was teasing about it.

To be honest, they didn’t work out that great for Texas, either, although if those teams had been better Texas might not have come out with the win.

avid 2.0 Elliott just said in his post game press conference after the 1st round match that the selection show had 1.64 million viewers? That seems outstanding, but I don't know if you've seen anything similar or how it would compare to previous years. I liked hearing it, though.

Only off by roughly a factor of 10, lol. Though that number still seems pretty solid for a selection show.
