the final had more than twice the viewers than the NWSL final had.... despite that having promotion all day on CBS during CFB.... and they just signed a $240 million media deal... Whoever negotiated that deal for the NWSL did a good job. It's $60 million per year. The previous deal was $1.5 million per year, so a 40x increase.

Okay, I don't know how to get a photo to upload, because I don't use imgur, but I have the college football playoffs going in the background and they have this awesome command center view on one of the ESPNs right now.
It's got a picture of the skycam, the ESPN feed, one shot of each of the coaches, plus general stats.
This is 100% what we need for volleyball. That way we can look at the coaches and you can look at your end zone view but you can actually look at your full view and see the replays but also not miss any of the game if they start playing before the replay is done. ❤️

NFL with 93 of the top 100 tv broadcasts. Up from 82 in 2022. That's just an astounding level of dominance. No wonder the executives are excited about volleyball as possible counterprogramming. Being scheduled against the NFL in television is like attacking the Turkish front lines at Gallipoli.

I’m interested in how WVB does against WBB for viewers. Nebraska-Iowa WBB audience dwarfs the Texas- Nebraska VB audience, but the game was much more competitive. And I guess Caitlin Clark is a bigger draw than Madisen Skinner. Iowa’s overtime win against the Huskers on Sunday averaged 3.02 million viewers on the CBS broadcast. The broadcast peaked with 4.4 million viewers during overtime. It was the most watched basketball game on any network on Sunday, including NBA and college men. It was also the most watched women’s college basketball game on CBS in 25 years.
