First time watching Stanford, but the transition game reminded me of Texas last year. They drag you to the deep end and drown you. The floor defense was really solid allowing good second contact, Miners making good decisions and good placement and the hitters are taking care of business. I agree, they reminded me more of Kentuckys covid year team with the two 6-ro passing pins and elite setting

I don’t think K. Cook has a quality ds to replace Landfair in the backcourt. I will take your word for it in regards to the dismantling of Texas by Stanford. I only saw one set. I think generally people forget how important first touches are. On average it snowballs from both touches to points more times than not. Without any statistical analysis. It sounds like Stanford player experience with each other and first touches really determined the story of this match. Stanford wasn’t passing especially well, and we targeted Baird fairly successfully. It just didn’t matter. They K Plummer’ed their way out of it. Texas first contact wasn’t good though, and we don’t have the personnel to be able to compensate for that this year still not over stanford's OOS hitting masterclass in the 2019 tournament

Paul Sunderland's commentary during games are hit or miss with me. In Set 1 he said that Texas had a "poor set in transition"... like yeah no kidding when Emma Halter is setting the ball backwards at the service line resulting in Skinner having two hand the ball over. It was kinda a hard ball to get a good swing off of.

Good numbers but when opponent is playing so poorly predicting Stanford's ability is fools gold! Stanford not making texas look bad: texas making stanfords numbers looking excellent let's agree that Kipp is playing POY level today, Baird and Rubin also had 12+ kills whereas both Skinner and Wenaas are hitting <0.175 Kipp is outstanding but her rice numbers would be considered pedestrian: K% in the 200’s? If you played chess she is there queen

Do we know why there isn’t a replay for this match on the espn app? Not sure if this has been posted anywhere here yet.
