Carter Booth goes coast to coast, sends the ball back to the left side hitter and then gets the roof all the way on the other side of the net. So good!

Anouncer says " Did it touch the line, it did, another point Wisconsin." NO pal, if it touches the line it would be a point to Miami. Geesh. I turned them off after 10 minutes.

Miami with a very bad hitting night. They hit 0.076 with 15 unforced errors.

I have to say, that wasn't the best performance by the badgers, but their clean play in addition to Miami errors made it look relatively easy.

Wisconsin goes to 7-0. Badgers are a seriously good team, as good as any in the Sheffield era.
I'll take it, even with some scary stretches in serve/receive. ...On Wisconsin!!!

Badgers are a seriously good team, as good as any in the Sheffield era. With what they've shown so far, agree to disagree. We didn't even play well the past two games honestly.

I have to say, that wasn't the best performance by the badgers, but their clean play in addition to Miami errors made it look relatively easy. Floor defense is still too iffy; TTA < Franklin and Orzol < GG at defense, and both of them in the backrow at the same time has hurt us in that aspect. Not to mention, Orzol got a bunch of OOS sets today but only got 1A...which GG matched even though she only got to play like 6 total rotations lol. I just don't think TTA in the backrow is worth it, we're losing passing, defense, and most importantly OOS sets that we need badly in this 6-2.

Not mentioned anywhere during the match comments that I saw, but early in the toss-around part warm-ups, Orzol was chasing a ball and slipped. Went down hard, got up limping and immediately headed for the bench and then locker room looking for the trainers. Came back out five-ten minutes later a little late for the more formal warm-up stretching, still a bit gimpy, tested it some, but looking more-or-less good to go.
But if you looked closely, under her tights, she had some sort of patch or pad on her right hip. Not bulky enough to be much of a pad, so I'll guess an Icy-Hot kind of lidocaine thing.
Obviously she played well, despite.

Objectively, I guess therez an argument that can be made either way. Some of the individual players on the opposing teams the Badgers have played so far, have certainly seem to have had stellar, even career worthy performances against the Badgers. (Good for them) And the Badgers have alternately looked a bit outclassed during those same stretches, especially in serve/receive. Still, for me, I don't see a previous Badger team that has shown as much power and ability to side out, on balance, as this team has. At least not in my recollection. Given the schedule, 7-0 at this point is no joke. Tonight, the Badgers hit .341, with 39 kills, 8 blocks, and a sideout percentage of 86%. Not bad for three sets of work - and a win.

Good to get another sweep. If anyone is quibbling too much, do you remember 2008-12? I try to avoid the PTSD, but, hey, the National Title has been won, the Badgers are clearly good, and the only box left unchecked on the all time to do list is to beat Stanford. Thus, just enjoying the ride, and this Badger team has a very high ceiling and can be very, very good, thus the current ranking.

Over the whole NCAA, Badgers are 9th in HP before this weekend. Don't think that position was hurt by this performance. Pretty impressive giving passing.
Again, its the defense I worry about, and the ability to score in transition.

We have only 1 win in how many?
