Would be nice to put the Florida hex to bed. We have only 1 win in how many? Too many. My guess would be 1-6. 1-6 is correct. |

Too many. My guess would be 1-6. 1-6 is correct. The first home weekend for Waite in 1999, Manz and the Gators came in and swept them. To his credit, Waite took a talented but flawed team in September 1999 to a very good one in December 2000. His last five years were not good, but the 8 before were. Sheffield has just taken the program to another level, to his credit. |

I saw Florida come back from 0-2 to defeat Wisconsin in the 1997 NCAA regional final in the Field House. Wisconsin was coached by John Cook in his second to final year at Wisconsin. Florida was coached by Mary Wise. I believe attendance was over 10,000 (Before the capacity was reduced due to structural issues.)

I'm rather looking forward to Arizona vs Miami tonight. It could be a close, competitive match (even though I'll have to listen to UW football on radio as I watch.)
