Yes the CU back ups should be able to beat Denver but Jesse starting them is very frustrating. I mean, the starters appear to have their hands full with the Pios. He is still messing around with bench players in this 2nd set ... playing Burlovic and Payne. Kuehl didn't play a lot of the last match against CSU, but as you know, she is usually the starter and is kind of hurt right now.

I'm thinking Payne may now be the regular starter, at minimum, as you say, as long as Kuehl doesn't seem 100%. (Wierdly, one thing that makes me think this is that, when the Buffs started this match with what looked like all 2nd teamers, Kuehl got the start and not Payne.)

Clip of the players on field at the game last night - wonder how late they were out.

Clip of the players on field at the game last night - wonder how late they were out. A lot of them stayed until the end. Didn't leave the stadium until almost 1am

Interestingly, I believe Hadrych was the only player that wasn't at the game last night.

Is it normal that a majority of CUs best players come through transfers and not recruiting under the current coaches?

Correct me if I am wrong but I don’t know any other D1 team in the country that does this!! Play your starters no matter what and bring in your bench if dominating a 3rd game or at the end of games of up by more than 10. Do you think the decision could have been driven by the team playing back to back matches on Thursday and Friday? Among other reasons, like the late late rocky mountain showdown last night.

Is it normal that a majority of CUs best players come through transfers and not recruiting under the current coaches? That's true of a lot of schools right now -- with the whole COVID year crap. It will settle down and everyone will be on the same playing field again.

Colorado drops from ~40 in RPI to ~55 in RPI ...AFTER the win over 1-7 Denver.
Still in the #28 - #35 range in Pablo/Massey

Interestingly, I believe Hadrych was the only player that wasn't at the game last night. They’re in college. Staying up until 1 am is not an unusual occurrence.
