I'm still shocked by there being almost NO ONE in the stands tonight for Florida. Really bad look for a game on ESPN. Scroll back for this info. Youâre uninformed. They just need to switch sides to show the packed side and endzones. The side they show is sold to sponsors and then goes unused. So frustrating. They could give their tix to clubs and schools, etc.

A loss is never fun, but if Iâm being honest with you, I think we need thatâŚ. I donât know if we were getting complacent, but I think this loss might wake up a sense of urgency that we cannot win every game in 5 or play five setters all season long. thereâs plenty of positives to take away such as the muff martin connection. And anyways losing to A&M is not even a bad, they are a solid group. Lednicky is legit (and was last year too before her injury) and the Aggies are at 28 in the latest RPI, and are bound to go up

Just a few things they need to clean up. Y'all are forgetting they played 3 matches in 6 days right after losing their quarterback... to go 5 sets with essentially a new team dynamic against NCAA Tournament teams is not by far bad. I'm only disappointed because it should never be McKissock fighting in serve receive against her little... should not be a SE at 13-12... Victoria should not get 10 errors with only getting blocked twice... just a multitude of errors that were avoidable. I 100% believe UF is gonna go to College Station and sweep them in a month. On a bright side, Kennedy-Kennedy connection looked niceeee Itâs frustrating the seniors canât get their act together more consistently because Muff is getting better and better. Sheâs a blocking liability, but her choices and location were actually very good tonight, and she had a clutch dump to keep them In the 4th.

Need to lose 6 more to get that Ohio State type of ranking. lol true. I just feel like everyone rags on Florida so much and just can't wait for us to look vulnerable. This team has fought so hard, had their chances tonight too! Agree. Loss will cause a drop but you will see the inconsistency in coaches making their rankings. Some schools have losing records and still are ranked (yeah, yeahâŚâlook at who they playedâ or âDixie wasnât playing that matchâ). Body of work will help UF stay near top 10 but in the latter half IMO. Two losses - by a total of 4 pointsâŚthat stings more than getting rocked in a match.

We needed this loss to take some pressure off and reset. Honestly, I'm ok with us dropping in the rankings too. Get the eyes off us a bit.
Auburn-Georgia-TAMU is a tough schedule to play after losing your starting setter. I doubt many teams in the country could go 2-1 against that group in a 6 day span under those circumstances. They will all be tournament teams.
Muff isn't the problem, but it's certainly an adjustment as she can't be Stucky, only the best she can be.
South Carolina, Alabama and Miss State will be 3 of the next 4. Hopefully an opportunity to build some confidence. Of course, Auburn can certainly beat us in that stretch before we head to College Station for the rematch.

Someone said Florida is getting battle tested with these 5 set matches. I agree. There have been several Florida teams that have had good runs in the post season with an SEC slip up during the season. Not sure this Florida team will do that but the season is early and all three SEC matches were against more than competent teams. In quick succession. They will have opportunities against Tennessee and Arkansas down the road if those two maintain or better their rankings. I saw a lot of good stuff in this last match. This team has time to improve and I think they will over the season. They may not play into one of the top top seeds in the end but still may have the fire power at that time to shock a higher seed or two than them. We will see what happens.

Stucky is an elite setter who made the players around her better. Muff is a good setter.. Thatâs the difference between being a top five team and being a top twenty team. đ

This is not a catastrophic loss â Texas A&M should be a tournament team, and this has been a packed and very tough schedule amid adversity. Florida will drop but remain in the top 10 (I see them at #7 next week if they win this weekend). Muff settling more quickly that those around her, though Martin/Muff looked much stronger, and Martin looked more fierce vs. more fear in her eyes the last 2 matches. They still need to get more second setter balls to her, though. Biggest concern is that Dixon gets so few swings. I still wonder if Martin on the left pin and Dixon on the right helps take the pressure off AC and Sofia, who are very streaky and both are never 'on' at the same time. That said, the 'true' middles are too unreliable. Nnedi has been solid â a bad error in game 5, but otherwise she's been the steadiest.

It's by no means a bad loss, but the idea that it was "needed" to take pressure off is completely ridiculous. Fla has already lost once and has never closed on a championship. I get fans creating narratives that are beneficial to their team, but no. Maybe if Florida was 27-0 and about to be seeded No. 1 overall in the tourney, then possibly a loss would be needed to take pressure off. But, one third of the way through the season? It will do them more harm than good at this point. If Fla "needs" a loss to relieve pressure at this point, they'll never win a title.

Stucky is an elite setter who made the players around her better. Muff is a good setter.. Thatâs the difference between being a top five team and being a top twenty team. đ Please enlighten us as to the elite setter on the number one ranked Wisconsin Badgers, please? I agree with your assessment of the two Gator setters, but losing a five-set match (twice) to the #1 ranked team and a receiving votes team, by the absolute minimum total of points to be beat, sure as hell should not drop a team from "being a top five team to being a top twenty team" even in the URS (Useless Ranking System). Ultimately, only the top four spots really make a difference as you get an opportunity to stay home for two weekends before heading to Tampa, but this team has shown they travel well against a higher seed (hello, Stanford) and should be fine if their "fall" requires them to take their show on the road. What I think nearly everyone would agree with is that NO other team has played closer matches (five, five setters in a row) nor lost an All-America setter and still been this competitive. The test, the grind and the grit should serve them well.

Sponsors/donors are supposed to spend money on programs, not a requirement to actually go to all of the games, which honestly is frustrating since it does make it look more empty than it actually is. This match was upgraded to ESPN literally on Tuesday morning, Florida didnât have much time to advertise it as widely as they probably would have liked to fill more seats. All those âempty seatsâ you saw on your tv also had 2800 people show up to the match. Florida doesnât struggle with attendance, last season we had a home match average of 3200, which I would venture to say would be the around the average for at least the past decade. That also puts Florida in the top 10 for average home match attendances in the nation. Whatâs frustrating, as many people have tried stating, is part of the lower bowl and one of the endzones are reserved seats for season ticket holders/sponsors, which forces a bit of the GA attendees to the mid-bowl section that is not seen on tv. Gator nation is doing just fine supporting all of our sports, we appreciate your concern though! đ

If A&M has decent serve receive I think they pull off the upset tonight. Florida may be a bit run down with 2 5 set matches and Hutson injured. Also Muffâs front row blocking will be a liability against 2 really good OHs and Lednicky is playing well and will be tough to stop. Great call Miađ
