Its still early but Glock looks comfortable so far. She’s making some smart choices.

Duke has some really solid offensive options, but really struggle on serve receive and floor defense.

Louisville sweeps Duke (25-20, 25-18, 25-18). Some observations from this one:
- Glock is starting to mix up her setting a bit more. She’s looking more confident on the court, which is admirable after having such a tough loss. Her timing with Cresse is solid but she struggles with setting PK. Not sure if its the difference in height or approach speed between the two middles. - DeBeer’s offense was better today than in the last two matches, but she has been streaky. Once errors start, they begin piling up, like she gets in her head. Both DeBeer and Luper were making big plays today. Love the Luper pipe attack. - Much improved OOS play and much better block/tip coverage compared to the UNC match. Looking more like Louisville’s usual defensive style of play. Blocking could be stronger. - Petrenko is an under-utilized weapon, especially from the service line. However, lots of strong servers on this team, lots of aces and forced overpasses.
This team looked a bit more like the Louisville we know, but I think there’s still room for improvement. A good 2-0 weekend for getting the groove back. Pitt and Georgia Tech will be make-or-break tests for this year’s team.
