I was at the game and haven't been on VT but my biggest takeaways are 1. Crawford stared down Merritt more than once (stared down in an understatement), which is funny to me cuz why even do that to the player that had 21 kills compared to your 2, and then you're in the net on match point.. She had more net violations than kills.. Karma! 2. Ashburn whining and whining and getting a yellow card all because of a missed DOUBLE call was hilarious and I think was the turning point in the match.. karma 3. I think it is safe to say these two are easily my natty 'ship contenders she thought she ate with those staredowns but the only thing she was eating was net net net

Nope. .271. Unless you aren’t counting last night. Statistics might not lie, but Beason and Krause both play side-by-side, when Krause is not injured. My game observations (i.e., opinion) indicate that NE would not have beat WI without Beason. They did beat WI without Krause. Not dishing Krause, but Beason is more important to NE's success than Krause, at this time, IMO. I don’t think there’s any question about that, and that’s a credit to Beason, it a knock on Krause.

Crawford stared down Merritt more than once Well, this can't be true. Experience shows that players who look across the net at other players create international incidents with half of VT judging that player's character. Surely those posters would be all over this if it were true.

The pearl clutching that occurs when anyone continues looking across the net as opposed to immediately turning back towards there huddle is hilarious. In almost every other sport opposing players interact except in women's volleyball where some how it's unlady-like. Even in men's volleyball some trash talking or staring is openly accepted. But heaven forbid a women's vball player not turn back to her huddle in less than a second. Any longer and that person is morally corrupt.

[br Agreed, volleyball is so Lilly white precious it’s ridiculous. These women are fierce competitors and shouldn’t be ashamed of expressing it, showing some emotion and personality. We shouldn’t put baby in the corner.

Krause is equally as important as Beason as if Beason were to be out for any reason, Krause is the player with significant experience at OPP. If for some reason Beason and Krause both miss time, Cook/CJ would have to decide if it’s worth burning a red shirt, or potentially move MM into that role as he did for a brief second Saturday, or Kubik. Cook has specifically said he wants MM focused on MB. Batenhorst is now locked at OH2, with Kubik backup for both Batenhorst and Murray…..Beason has been huge, seemingly more off the court as a leader in coaching staff eyes, but Krause is also vital imo due to being more experienced and versatile after playing her unnatural side her first two years. I also have a feeling Krause is an exceptional leader.

Krause doesn't do that for Nebraska. Losing Beason would be a much bigger loss than losing Krause. The only other player on the roster who does all the things that Beason does is Harper Murray. Krause is a good player though. Her offensive production from the last 5 or 6 matches has been excellent. It will be good to see her back in the lineup, hopefully soon. Does anyone know what exactly her injury is? I am guessing a high ankle sprain. Those can take a while to heal.

Modern problems require modern solutions Judging from the reflections in the window a little grain cart training might be going on as well.

I think it is safe to say these two are easily my natty 'ship contenders Certainly getting into the net wasn’t her best moment but I love the fire that Crawford plays with. She doesn’t have the size or the physical gifts of Booth but she does so many little things so well. He court IQ is unbelievable. That’s the kind of player I want on my side. Can’t wait for the rematch at the Fieldhouse.
