Radford is currently 2 games back of High Point in the Big South Conference standings. I wonder what (if any) other unexpected behind the scenes developments led to that change? Per Big South records, the last strongest season Radford had was in 2018 (Conference Tournament Runner-Up)

Made more bizarre that she is (was) currently coaching and leaving a team mid-season. It would make more sense if she was not coaching and the admin saw a chance to bring back an alum... Why not just deal with interim until end of season so she does not have to leave her current team??

Players hate the assistant and think she's crazy. Similar sentiment is why they let go of previous former HC. Seems bad culture all around, and bringing in an alum is the only answer.

Seems bad culture all around, and bringing in an alum is the only answer. There was an issue, but according to a friend in the Radford athletic department, it was not due to inappropriate relations with players. It also sounded like the assistant didn't help things and threw the HC under the bus. The alum could have waited to the end of her team's season before bolting. I guess when you're having a bad season, no time like the present. Staffers are upset that the HC was handled so harshly. Especially after they retained the head men's basketball coach after several alcohol related instances.

How do they ever have any credibility with future athletes when talking about commitment?
