Could explain the 9 kids in the portal... She was only there for 9 months? Digging more: They had 12 true freshmen on a 28-person roster. That means at least 16 players weren't on an athletic scholarship, so it's not that surprising to see 9 players in the portal. Maybe the coach did something wrong, but if the administration is requiring a gigantic roster size, that job doesn't sound like much fun. Also, it's 11 players in the portal since September. |

In less than a year? Season was not bad though.. Looks like the salary is though…max at $58k…for a D1 HC?! Yikes. I know, Saint Peters….Not sure what kind of experience they expect with that salary. |

According to the AVCA coaches salary survey in 2021, that's about right for the Big South. Looks like there was even one school at $37,910 |

In less than a year? Season was not bad though.. According to players within the program, something happened to cause an investigation mid season. Looks like this is the result of that investigation. No leads on details of the situation. |

I would not be surprised to see it start to permeate the lower level of DI. |

28 people? How does that even happen? Universities using athletics to drive enrollment. Pretty common at DIII. Not unheard of at DII. I would not be surprised to see it start to permeate the lower level of DI. Yes, and it sucks as a coach. Not only do you have to recruit kids that you don't want and you know they will never play, and you basically put on a front and lie to them, but also you then have to deal with all of them all season. It's very difficult on morale and also shows the priorities for the school. |
