Miami is still reviewing resumes and has yet to interview any candidates. Thought Miami would have moved faster considering they knew their coach was retiring.. Sounds like they are actually doing a legitimate old school search. SWA at Miami U is Jennie Gilbert, formerly HC at Tennessee Tech and had been assistants in many other schools in the midwest. More importantly, she played at Miami under Caroline Condit. She is very methodical by nature and she is going to be very detailed and thorough in finding someone to replace her old coach and mentor and be the leader in women's volleyball at her alma mater. This search is anything but cursory, she will get it right because she has skin on the game. |

Quick PSA. Miami University OH has jobs posted for and is looking to replace everyone but the Director of Operations. Glassdoor, Indeed, and other similar websites have the salaries for these positions listed MUCH lower than the actual amounts being offered during interviews. And this, being posted by the director of operations |

News from Virginia.
John Wasielewski decided to retire (nice to have that option) and Virginia Tech is looking for a recruiter first and secondarily a shoulder. Contact Marci Jenkins directly: marcijb@vt.edu

I interviewed at Lee in 1993. I made a presentation to the search committee and had a great visit. The only downer was I had to pay for my own flight to Houston. I did not get the job and ate the airline ticket. But my career turned out ok. What did a flight to Houston cost in 1993? Well I don't remember but I got the money from my parents because I was a poor graduate student back then. |
