So why not just go for a new coach all together? If he's done, why the interim?

So why not just go for a new coach all together? If he's done, why the interim?

Yes, this is the point. If he's unable to continue coaching, why is this interim? It is titled interim but listed full-time temporary with benefits, so why the need for the interim tag?

ETA: I have no direct interest in the matter and don't know any parties involved; I'm just confused by the posting.

Depending on how school is set-up with contracts, may be a case where he can not coach, but contract is not up until end of school year. So, in order to hire anyone, it has to be "interim" until current coach's contract is up. Hire an interim now who can recruit and practice in the spring with the understanding the interim tag will be removed when current coach's contract is up.

If this is the case, I give Western Neb credit for handling it this way, paying two salaries, instead of waiting.
