Saint Peter's is open, I guess going 1-59 the past two seasons wasn't convincing the administration that the program was going in the right direction. Hearing rumors that this one may not be open long once the candidate’s season is over.

King University (D2 Tennessee/Conference Carolinas) will need a head coach. Appears to be for both the men’s and women’s team.

The previous two coaches from Jacksonville are now at Mississippi State (Darty) and Georgia Tech (Collier), so I would argue that Jacksonville has been a good job with winning. Not at all disagreeing about $$$ but seems like the past two coaches were able to figure something out with recruiting and finding enough success to land higher profile jobs. Those hires were made by a previous AD that was very good and who moved on to George Mason. The current AD was hired at an absurdly young age (he was 25 or thereabouts, youngest D1 AD ever. He's batting near .000 on his own head coach hires and all JU teams have dropped off badly except perhaps baseball and m/w lax. Pretty sure he didn't hire those coaches. Not trying to post sour grapes, but dude kinda objectively is bad at his job. So I checked out the posting and the main contact is Asst AD Dee Brown...yes the Dee Brown who played in the NBA. He won the dunk contest in 1991 with the "No-Look" Dunk. Just a fun fact

It's a private institution, is it not? How much are we talking, if we are talking low? Money doesn't directly translate to salary. There is the support aspect: recruiting budget, full complement of assistants, S&C staff, Sports information, academic support staff, travel, etc. If I remember right, 1 out of every 6 students at Jacksonville is an athlete, so not sure who they'd be getting money from. Small alumni base plus bad ratio to extract 'activity fees' from.
