Is Kentucky ready for another upset win? Arkansas will not take them lightly. Im leaning Arkansas, but very slightly.

I forgot Kentucky is playing home matches in Rupp Arena this year. I wonder how that affects attendance and the match atmosphere. They should turn out for the SEC leader, right? Go Blue!

As a neutral fan - it's hard not to root for Arkansas. They don't have the physicality of some other teams in terms of height / net play, but, they are overall a very steady, stable team. Gillen and Head are a fun pair of outside hitters for sure.

It's basically the same, but now there's 2 giant endzone sections with nobody sitting in them. That does feel pretty awkward and when they show a close-up of the server on TV it looks massively empty. But the sidelines are decently filled and it can get loud. The sound system is much better, which helps. We're averaging around 4k which is very good, historically. Also in Memorial there was a good bit of distance between the court and the stands and in Rupp you're more on top of the action, so the viewing experience from the seat is better and I think that helps it from feeling too cavernous.

Until last weekend, I would have gone with Arkansas, but UK looked like a contender vs Tennessee. Sunday match at home, leaning UK in 4, but would not be overly surprised to see Arkansas hold to their ranking and win in 4. The OH duo of Arkansas is fun to watch.

I got to go to Memorial last year to see Kentucky play Wisconsin. It's a great old building, but, yeah, the sound was weird and some of the part of the building were falling apart. I hope the remodeling is good for volleyball. 4000 is great! Hope you get more for this match!

New scoreboard was cool, but that dank, still-aired building...oof.
