Did not see a sweep in the cards, but not easy to beat Arkansas. Good for them.

Arkansas is good. Their passing today has been rough tho It was on Friday at times, too.

Setter was front row and above the net and so an attacker, the ball was in the plane, the Arkansas blocker touched the ball while the setter was trying to set it. Should be play on, right? Yes, but they shouldn't have been able to challenge it.

Don't see a way for Florida to win the SEC now. Their remaining schedule is pretty tough. Maybe they can catch up to Kentucky a bit since they play them twice, but they also have to hope Tennessee and Arkansas fumble. I don't see all three of those things happening. I had Tennessee winning the SEC preconference, but after watching Arkansas beat them pretty handily in Knoxville, I think I have to give the nod to Arkansas now, even though the only tough match in Tennessee's remaining schedule is Florida. Arkansas still have Florida and Kentucky, but both at home. In addition to Florida home and away, Kentucky have Arkansas away. At this point I favor the Razorbacks in Fayetteville. This is a good take Arkansas shouldn’t slip up but who knows Kentucky played them tough although it was in 5 it was more them playing from behind in that match that’s about the only match I see being a real challenge

It was a tough match in Lexington. I'm not sensing any fear or nervousness from Arkansas at all though. It's in their hands.

Tennessee should still really be favored. Tennessee is more likely to win out than either Arkansas or Kentucky.

Re: the challenge at 19-19 in set 3 - yes, that was an allowable challenge by Florida. trojansc was spot-on.
The referees did not see Arkansas #7 touch the ball during the play. If they had seen a touch, they would have stopped play and called either:
- Reaching over the net by Arkansas #7 (if the ball had not yet reached the plane of the net), or
- A back-row fault on the Florida setter (if the ball was in the plane of the net). Despite what the color commentator said, the Florida setter was in the back row during that rally
When coach Watson asked what was being challenged, you can see the R2 motion that the challenge was for a touch by the blocker.
If all the criteria for a back-row fault or reaching over fault are met, and the only reason the referees don't make the call is because they don't see a touch by the opponent, then that no-touch decision can be challenged.
The review cannot be used to determine the height of the ball, the height of a player, or whether or not the ball was in the plane of the net - it can ONLY look at whether or not the ball was touched.
The referees must have believed the ball was completely on Florida's side when it was set. If they felt the ball was in the plane of the net, then Florida wouldn't have been allowed to challenge the play, because a touch by Ark #7 with the ball in the plane would have resulted in a back-row fault against the Florida setter, and it would not have changed the outcome of the rally.

Thanks for the clarification. The ball was obviously in the plane, however. So the refs were incorrect, though that is not challengeable.
