UCF's cupcake scheduling philosophy even extended to the first half of Big XII play. Tough sledding for them to close the season. Wake Forest really needed UCF to finish T50 so they could have another Top 50 win. Not looking likely. Aren't they pretty safe RPI-wise unless they take a bad upset?

But one top 50 win? A bad loss vs. Kennesaw? I'm not sure that's good enough to get in. They can't get any other good win and could only hurt themselves in their last 4 matches. We'll see.

The two teams that come to mind are Rice 2021 and UNLV 2016. Rice had 0 T50 wins an RPI ~25. Rice got in, and wasn't even one of the last 4 in. UNLV in 2016 was really similar. #33 RPI. They only had 1 top 50 win (#32 Boise State) but UNLV had zero losses under 100. UNLV was announced as one of the last 4 in. Colorado State, #46 RPI had 3 T50 wins (but two were against UNLV). Both bubble-MWC teams got in (maybe they came as a pair?). There were some teams in the late 40's/low 50's with top 25 wins but none got picked.

BYU sweeps. They had 13 aces. Gotta be a school record.

The R 2 is reviewing on an iPad, rather than a monitor. That’s too small of a screen, IMO. The IPad more than likely has the system with much better resolution to see.

BYU sweeps. They had 13 aces. Gotta be a school record. byucougars.com/team-recordsIn 3-set matches, the record is 14 against New Mexico State in 2003. Note that games (at that point... not "sets") were to 30 points, not 25. BYU also had 3-set matches with 13 aces against Air Force in 2003, 2006, and 2007. (I don't recall when we switched to 25-point sets.)

BYU racing ahead in this set on a 6-0 scoring run with Livingston's serves. Up 19-11. UCF's cupcake scheduling philosophy even extended to the first half of Big XII play. Tough sledding for them to close the season. Still a lot of discussion about UCF's hiring decision and passing over better candidates. The scheduling issue is not going look good when UCF athletic dept looks back on this season and there may be more questions than answers. I agree that UCF won't make the NCAA tourney.

Too late for the first match, but the prematch article links have been added now.
