BYU sweeps. They had 13 aces. Gotta be a school record. I wish the game was at BYU because I've always wondered if that one guy ever runs out of Ace cards. HAHA this is hilarious |

BYU sweeps. They had 13 aces. Gotta be a school record. In 3-set matches, the record is 14 against New Mexico State in 2003. Note that games (at that point... not "sets") were to 30 points, not 25. BYU also had 3-set matches with 13 aces against Air Force in 2003, 2006, and 2007. (I don't recall when we switched to 25-point sets.) The first year of the 25-point rally-scoring era was 2008. As for BYU, their record for aces in a match is 20 against Weber State in 1985 (side-out era). 13 aces does appear to be the record for the 25-point era, though. As you noted, the record for the rally-scoring era overall is 14. |
