UConn moves on to the national championship game with an 86-72 win. This was the closest game so far but still a double digit win in the end.

Tyson foods might be about to bring Calipari to Arkansas 👀 That's wild. Reminiscent of A&M poaching Jimbo Fisher from Florida State. Edit: in retrospect, this makes UCLA's failed attempt to poach Calipari a few years ago even more hilarious.

It's kinda funny John H Tyson attended all 3 schools involved in this domino chain that led to Calipari heading to Arkansas since he also attended SMU and USC.

Arkansas and Kentucky are happy this morning. Kentucky got stale and a new start is probably good for Cal.

When is the last time you had 2 7 footers going against each other in the NC game?
Purdue has to shoot well to stay in this thing.

Clingan is so good. I think he can make an impact in the NBA. I don’t think projected #1 pick Alex Sarr is all that much better than him. his foot speed has really improved

Arkansas and Kentucky are happy this morning. Kentucky got stale and a new start is probably good for Cal. Yeah, Kentucky gets out of having to pay a $33 million buyout, and Arkansas somehow upgraded. We'll see who Kentucky actually gets. While I didn't necessarily think Calipari was the problem with Kentucky, I'm looking at it from outside the program. And as a Steelers fan, I get it. Sometimes, you have a coach that you just don't believe in anymore, and it's probably better for everyone to just make the change rather than continue with the status quo.

As a Steelers fan I’m not ready to write off Tomlin yet but can understand the sentiment. It’s a talent league, there are no geniuses and the talent has been mid, especially on the offensive line and QB. But the OC situation was on him.

Clingan has put on a defensive masterclass in the tournament and has done a good job avoiding foul trouble (which plagued him at times in conference play).

I thought you were a Cowboys fan or something, since you're from Texas. Anyway, I don't want to get too sidetracked from the college basketball thread (I've made my opinions on the current state of the Steelers and its coaching situation known in the NFL thread in a lot more detail). It's just that I saw Jay Williams making all kinds of excuses for Calipari on ESPN that were eerily similar to the excuses I hear from Tomlin's defenders. Shannon Sharpe had basically the same position on Calipari that he's recently taken on Tomlin, namely that programs like Kentucky men's basketball and the Steelers have a higher standard.
