I don’t see Purdue as “new and improved”, rather I see them as a team with a handful of very good returnees joined by 3 very good freshman who have settled in to B1G play and are peaking as they build toward the tournament. It looks like their setting has stabilized. It looks like will be a top 5 B1G team for the next several years. Minnesota is a team that has under achieved for the most part, but have beaten Oregon so hey have a high ceiling. If Minnesota has a real sense of urgency it could be a good match, if not, they may get rolled… we’ll see how it goes 🏐

I simply meant they’re playing much better be consistent than they were at the beginning of the season. Aka improved

Last time out MN had 1 ace, 5 SEs, 1! solo block and let an opponent hit nearly .400
I expect to see tougher serving with more SEs, a more effective block
and a much stronger showing on our home court.
Commit block to their left pin and make them go to their RS and MBs
I think MN can win if those hitters hit above .400
but we cannot win if Hudson and Chicoine do so

Feels pretty monumental. If Gophs can somehow put it together for a win or a highly competitive loss, I might think they turned a corner. Plus, obviously, a win REALLY boosts their tournament chances.
