OUAZ calls TO down 11-4.
Down ref is having a very bad day. Missed at least 10 obvious nets (on both teams.). I think he is enjoying “watching” this match as much as the fans.

William Penn goes up 2 sets to 1 with a 25-20 win.
OUAZ benched Emery Outin (first team all American) during that set when they were way down. I would expect him to come back in to start the 4th set (that didn’t happen in OUAZ loss to Jamestown early in the year).

Can you say Cinco Sets? OUAZ with a 25-20 win in set four. Another barn burner. How are Georgetown and the winner of this match going to bounce back tomorrow?

William Peen wins in 5 in front of a very loud crowd. I would imagine it will grow in size for tomorrow.

Jamestown on upset alert, they almost had the first set until master rallied back but ended up taking the second set. Looked like seltzer tweaked his knee not sure if he will come back for the 3rd set

Masters up 13-9 as Jamestown takes a time out I caught most of the GTown Vanguard game and that was a very entertaining match, that run in the 5th Will Anderson seemed to playing by himself ripping serves and getting kill after kill on the D ball. Georgetown was a fun group to watch that I haven’t really seen this season. I didn’t catch any of the Penn OUAZ or Jamestown Masters games but was trying to catch live stats. I’m surprised by decent competitiveness in Pool A with Mount Mercy taking a set from Jamestown and then Jamestown pushing Masters to 4 and extra points. I was surprised to see St. X sweep GV but good for them! No same conference teams in semis which I think is pretty cool to see. Both matchups seem pretty fun by the looks of it, I am gonna say GTown and St. X goes 5 and GTown comes out on top and then I’m gonna go for an upset and say that Penn takes it in 5 against the Masters. We shall see but I am excited for semi games to get going. Also, kinda rambling, but you said the Penn and Ottawa game was pretty loud? I’ve been enjoying the atmosphere of the venue so far honestly!

First semi final- Saint Xavier cruised through pool play in dominate fashion. They are playing at a very high level right now and have a lot of momentum after dismantling Grand View in Thursday. If they keep this up, they have a great shot to make it to the finals on Saturday.
Georgetown beat Vanguard in the best match of the day. Sparked by a setter and middle change. Do they stay with that line up? Kowalski was on fire. If he is the best player on the court again, they not only have a chance to make it to the finals, but win it all.
I think Georgetown wins this match up 3-1.
Second semi final- William Penn won a tough 5 setter over OUAZ to punch their ticket to the semis. They were bolstered by a vocal crowd and I would expect even more fans to make the 90 minute drive from Oskaloosa, given them the home court advantage. They will need to play great defense and ride the arms of Krause and Papes to pull off the upset.
The Master’s didn’t look their regular dominate self against Jamestown, but still won in 4. Isaak seltzer hurt his knee (did play sparingly) and his availability could be key in this match. If they pass well and are able to use all of their options, they should cruise to the finals. Still the favorite to win it all.
I have The Master’s winning 3-1 (home crowd helps William Penn keep it tight).

Georgetown jumps out to big lead and holds on to win first set 25-21. Feels like we could have a sweep.
