Noemi is getting hitting time! Love it! Does she burn a redshirt by playing in 4-5 matches this year? Yes, she was not interested in redshirting. Good thing, or we'd have absolutely no bench lol. |

Ducks up 7-2 in Set 3. Would be great if we could escape the desert without further drama. Also a great back row swing from Mimi on her last go - I feel like I'm watching every swing of hers waiting for a "sign"

Ducks get a little loose in block and transition at the end but sweep -21, -14, -21. Slow start, kind of a slow finish.Gonzales and McGhee both hit .462 (on 15 and 7 kills), Glover had a nice entrance at 4-1-5. Team hit .425 but it almost didn't feel like it?
Big match on Tuesday against SC - hope we come out firing.

True. I was thinking more in terms of the defense and spark that Kate bring, but I obviously didn’t articulate that. It sucks to have such a stacked team and bench but really be handcuffed with subs due to (our own choice) redshirts. That being said, I’m so excited to see those red shirts play next year! Just in case it wasn't clear, I am agreeing with you that Thibault should be playing. I just think it's really hard for a coach to get over the mental hump of playing a little whose passing grade is technically lower. Kate does have a big old wrap on her quad, so might be too injured to put in. |
