Fairbanks really impressed me on Saturday. Previously I didn't think she was an outstanding setter but I think being in a 5-1 this season has allowed her to really shine. She played really well and has been doing so all year imo she was flinging those D balls back to Babcock, it was cool to see also her serve and defense is so good

Homegirl looked PISSEDT Homegirl is just really competitive- why pretend it’s sunshine and rainbows when it’s not her facial expressions- so glad the on court drama was dished by at least 2 people at all times

Nothing wrong with holding your teammates to a higher standard

Fairbanks was backrow but luper jumped with her which blocked cresse from fronting the middle and she was left with no one up on a situation where Fairbanks really couldn't have set anyone else :/ not the first or last time in the match Louisvilles block made them look dumb

Nothing wrong with holding your teammates to a higher standard no offense intended babe lol... wasn't specifically referring to Fairbanks (and the first two were what they were). more just that it was competitive, brash, and stare-down filled on both sides of the net. that's what made it SO ENTERTAINING. loved it genuinely my hand was over my mouth every other kill EDIT: that doesn't mean that whatever the whiteboard said was okay though. watching that tension play out was exciting but ultimately a slightly more professional game would be ideal

Isn't happening this year

If she thought that Fairbanks was going to attack it, then it was wrong to jump. If she thought that Fairbanks was going to fake a play on the ball and then let it travel across the net, then I don't blame Luper for jumping. If she just misjudged the distance and thought it was going to turn into an illegal joust that they could win the point on, then it's an unfortunate miss but still understandable. The game is chaotic and some plays that look dumb are slightly less dumb in reality.

Watched the replay and my goodness what a battle between these 2 teams. Pitt's freshmen pins are so impressive and VVG getting hot and bothered in the 4th set was hilarious. Fairbanks is great in a 5-1.
DeBeer is mother though. Her hitting technique is so clean and she packs a major punch.
