madi really picked it up. think she was around 6 kills and 4 errors through 2 and ends with 14 kills and 4 errors through 3

thought devin looked strong at the beginning. not sure why whitney replaced her in the 3rd

okay! I like the 6-2! if we’re rolling with Devin as the second opposite, I do think we need to switch setters. Rutherford was only able to swing on like 2 balls all match. how she managed to hit .529 is a true testament to how much of a rock star she is. but I mean just logically based on last season: Swindle set a tall righty and Carlson set a lefty. why change up their connections? it also would allow us to sub Akana more liberally because I don’t think anyone here would be concerned with Swindle and Devin 6 rotations. Swindle can obviously block and Devin’s floor defense is arguably the best part of her game that we’ve seen. she can also pass for Madi and free her up in that situation.
but I’m just glad we swept. not on home court either. great win, and we’re a lot closer to where we should be than we were against Stanford.

did madi get one back row attack (the one that didn't clear the net)? or were there more?

Reagan is probably better than Devin at adjusting to Ella’s sets to the right pin since she doesn’t have to wait for the ball to cross her body to hit it

I agree Rutherford is better at adjusting, but I’d rather her be adjusting to faster tempo sets than having to reach with an outstretched arm or her right arm on every set and have to tip. Devin could be swinging on those

She had 17 attacks. Some of her out of bounds hits were her best swings. I'll have to go back and watch the replay, but I felt she got around 10 good swings tonight based on good sets. She has some great kills down the stretch.

things i saw in the match that i likely have not seen before
1. an attack pop up off of a foot. not a kick save. basically a pancake with the footy 2. something get thrown on to the court. at first i legit thought someone chucked a phone

I just feel like she having to tip 24/7. the only full swings I really remember are the one she dropped on the 10 foot line sharp cross court and then the one you alluded to that she hit wide. if you watch the replay before it’s up on VolleyMetrics, let me know if I was just dreaming lol, I did miss a good bit of the first set

Sorry to ask this if it's already been answered in the game thread. I jumped from page 6 to page 13 because...well it's tedious to read the comments when you know the results of the game. The only time it's fun to read the multiple pages is to experience the agony of your opponents....say when you go on an 11-0 run in a very important game?
Anyhoo....did anyone comment on the multiple un-called foot faults on Jenna when she was serving and one on Akana as well. I find it amazing that line judges can see a touch far away at the net and yet not see something 5 feet away!
